  1. Old contacts are often good as they may have changed firms giving you a good in. Also try to get people at source either by going direct to the smaller developers or target the estate agents, They are often in a position to persuade a smaller developer to use a nice marketing visual to help sell off plan. Often these smaller 1-2 day jobs can be more lucrative if you get enough and can be quick as the mutiple party design process is eliminated.
  2. If you transfer it to unity you could run it realtime on an Iphone
  3. Its the viewport clipping plane. Try reseting your fov for that perspective view to 45
  4. Ive already looked at doing this. I can easily do for large sites but as gps accuracy is at best 5-10m then it doesnt work for smaller sites. It could be done with transmiter markers to triangulate position but this isnt a neat solution. The process is pretty straightforward and in a lot of situations the building used for visuals is emminently suitable as is. With a little bit of coding based on distance the model can even be obscured by foreground. As an addendum if you can find identifiable points on the landscape or positioning of building you can use image recognition to align but this tends to only work from specific vantage points and is at best ropey.
  5. Have you checked your key curves in track view. If they are ok it may be your playback. Load into ram player and see how it plays there.
  6. agreed Dave - that was fantastic not caught that one before ty.
  7. I now use 2 SSD's with a 3rd HDD. I have my OS and software on the primary with all my data on the HDD. I then use my 2nd SSD to store the project I am currently working on. This way data loading does not bottleneck performance speed. I have to say just having the adobe suite open as soon as I click on icon saves me hours. My max tends to stay on until I turn off pc d#so i only see the real benefit once a day for that software
  8. I agree. The background shows the sky still has some light in it yet there are areas of the image which are almost black.
  9. Many of the manufacturers now provide all their product in digital formats for free now. The likes of Villeroy Bosch allow anyone to download .3ds files of the complete ranges specifically to be used in arch viz. They hope that people will specify what they see when it comes to the build.
  10. You could do them all as instances or attach all to a wiring parameter helper. Either way you only animate 1 thing.
  11. http://www.udk.com/showcase-takenaka http://www.udk.com/news-beta-aug2011.html A couple of examples of people who are adapting to realtime
  12. Interesting. I do know that some system setups cannot handle anything bigger than 4096x4096 in realtime. They will still render but not show up in window. This is a known problem. Not come across it at lower resolutions. Have you tried the same scene on any other machine to see if it is a hardware problem or not? The 4096 thing is a resolution problem so format doesn't come into it. This seems to mimic your probs.
