  3. Studio/Institution: Dabarti Genre: Residential Interior Software: 3ds Max, V-Ray, After Effects Website: http://www.wyszolmirski.com Description: Hi guys, I would really like to hear what you think about some of our last creations. http://www.wyszolmirski.com/forums/viz_03.jpg http://www.wyszolmirski.com/forums/viz_04.jpg http://www.wyszolmirski.com/forums/viz_05.jpg http://www.wyszolmirski.com/forums/viz_06.jpg Also I need to explain myself a little bit. I am CG generalist that is running small studio, our main focus are animations for tv, broadcast and from time to time we enjoy creating architectural images, we just love what we do and care about quality. We used 3ds max and V-Ray. There was also post processing in After Effects. 5. It has been a while since I posted this thread asking for advices ... Just wanted to thank one more time and say that I am freelancing more than one year now and things are going really well... Actually better than full-time And here is show-reel with stuff I get chance to work on in few last months: .
  6. Thanks for your comments... philip kelly: I wasn't asked to do that, but I feel it gives nice touch, it may be that lights are a bit to bright in that exposure, but as an "artistic" touch personally I like it. CheekyBeagle: I hear you ... I feel that a lot of renders out there could use better color graduation... At the moment I am doing more TV / advertisement and visualization is cool to do, a bit of difference is good. And to use this moment I want say that I am open to any cooperation proposals
  7. Hi CGA Just finished an shading and lighting of interior and I want to share it here. In this case I didn't do the modelling. Just lighting and corrections in PS. Cheers.
  8. Looks good so far. I don't think there is any rule about camera settings. Well maybe if you use DOF it's good too keep f-number not too low
  9. I am doing loads of HD animations recently, so will share a bit of knowledge. So here is my workflow: I render everything to image sequence, usually I break things to different channels and than put it together in AE. After it's done I render it out as mov with photo-JPG compression set to 100% - it's great quality but not great for playback (too big). So as far as rendering comp takes time if you want to change file format it's the best way to use that full quality mov as your source for convention. You can either import it back as new AE file and than render it with different encoding, but I found out that Quicktime PRO does the job in the best way. I convert files using Quicktime to smaller resolutions or different compression. From my experience encoding it with x264 codec gives best results and smallest file size which is probably exactly what you need.
  10. Multichannel mapping will be then. But is there anything else that seems to be problematic or time consuming and finding better way of doing it might be life saver ?
  11. Hi, Just want to start new thread about what is most problematic thing to create in CG architecture. Well I am not talking about specific designs, some of them are obviously more complex than others and what I mean is more like what is the hardest thing to create and doing it gives you an headache ... Why I am asking ? I was thinking about creating some tutorials to help you and to help myself... Yes it works in both ways... If I want to advertise my skills I want it to be very helpful. And as warming up I am thinking about explaining multichannel mapping that can be used in various ways. But maybe there is something that could be more helpful... Looking forward to hear from You ! Regards, Tomasz
  12. Hi, 1. I just took a look at it and the fastest way will be to just open script inside max, select all and drag it into UI (just drop it on buttons). It will create macroscript. 2. Just put it inside max/plugins This should help
  13. Ok let's start: You have to use such low values if you don't use V-Ray physical camera. Anyway you can set different sky and sun intensity if you want. Just check manual node in VraySky map... (drag it to material editor from environment). You can use time/date settings in the same way like in mental ray... Just select V-Ray sun instead of mrsun ... Good luck
  14. Well your environment is mapped with Screen mode, that's why it doesn't work correctly, change it to something else. It's an bitmap option in material editor.
