  1. Cherish the moments, days, months and years as they will pass way to fast. the 29 hours will fade to a story you share over a beer with your son in just a blink of an eye. Teach him the values that you have and don't get discouraged when he fails to understand you have his best interests in mind. Don't rely on others to teach him judgement and morals. Hold him close as there are people who will try to get him to do things which are counter to his best interests. Above all, teach him love. Congrats on your life's new adventure.
  2. you'll want to add a vray plane it will give you some light bounces
  3. The geometry of furniture generally will have a very high file size. Your render time depends a lot on how many lights you have in the scene.
  4. UAE3DS, if you are not familiar with the construction process and the components involved you might first want to take a field trip to an active construction site. Introduce yourself to the project manager and request a tour. Armed with the plans many managers will gladly spend an hour or so with you pointing out how the parts go together. After that, you would be well served atttending classes like Brian Smith's. Don't stop with that, because the amount of information will make your head spin. Buy the book that goes along with the class as it will refresh your memory and expand on many topics that time doesn't allow during the class environment. Ask a lot of questions, the folks here are very forthcomming with sound advice. Post your work in progress and again you will have good information passed along to you. Good luck....
  5. grits, cornbread, green beans and ham hocks, daggon i miss southern cooking!!
  6. Just an observation, but it is unlikely that you will have many clients from outside your immediate area. IMO you would be better served by creating a web site which you could use within the shop, perhaps a photo alblum of past clients who have had their hair done at the shop. The history is interesting, but may not offer ideas to the client as to the vairous hair styles that you offer. Certainly what you've done is first rate, but seems to broad in scope. You could have a station set up in the waiting area of your shop allowing visitors to thumb through the photos and get an idea of what they may want. I know when my wife gets hair extensions it takes her forever, having the ability to access the web while the work is being done would give her a chance to stay in touch. Hope this helps, really like the opening page...

    Lofting Problems

Whew, I wonder if he talks to his folks like that, Brian, U rock, nuff said!
  8. Now that is one appropriate red eye!
  9. Or weeks 24, 25 here: http://www.cgarchitect.com/upclose/VI/
  10. Sorry KY, I wasn't really suggesting changing the tower or the buildings, but adding negative space on the left side might combine with the strong angular lines to increase the esthetics of the view. I like what you have BTW. I found this article informative http://photoinf.com/General/Johannes_Vloothuis/landscape_composition_rules.html Your reflections rock. I think the red car is causing a few problems, my eye tends to lock on it and its hard to move onto other areas.
  11. Ky, I bet if you were to change the empahsis a tad it would help. The tower seems to be to much in the center of the shot. Try to maintain the rule of thirds and shift the tower location to fall 1/3 of the width...
  12. just click on the link above the go to meeting link, the "download" one, that will give it to ya, good luck.
  13. I would reccomend an apron around the pool. The water would be a mess with all the debris that would be tracked into the pool. Others have pointed out my other concerns
  14. You will want to add a break to the horizon line. Plants, trees, etc. It will give the shot some depth.
  15. G'day Andy, looks nice for what it is. The sidewalk looks like they could use some expansion joints, and I'd expect to see a gutter pan at the curbing, but that may not be the design. Can't say that i've seen the blueish colored bricks before, but there again brick color is regional.
