If you wanna Go Vista...you should Utilize Directx 10 for your CGA work... Most users are Using Vista.. With out Compatible Hardware.. On Boxx Machines (Used our Company)...Vista is More Powerfull in MAX than XP.

in Max 2009 if you had modeled with out sweep modifier......you can just use a spline mapping to map your objects along the Kerbs
