We used to get that dumb message but since we upgraded to version 2007.0.2.224 we no longer get it. I hope this helps.

Hi all, I am currently having a problem. I'm running Max 9 x64 and Backburner 2007 and I get the error: ERR Error receiving job archive: Error transferring (File name).zip (empty file). It is only happening on one model at this time. I have tried to clear out the manager with no luck. I'm baffled. HELP! Thanks, Griffin

Forest Pro is not free although I believe they do have a lite version for free. It is very quick to make crowds once you have the material created...

If we are not going to see them too close up we use Forest Pro. We have created a multi sub-object material with hundreds of different people maps. Once you have that its easy to create a crowd of people although there's not much control after creation. It's best for people in the distance or in an aerial view. We used a song by Kenny Rogers in a dvd graphics presentation. The dvd was distributed to a client in an interview process. We contacted the record company and basically they said that it was not being used for commercial purposes and it was alright to use it. We assumed since we were using the song to try and land a job it was commercial use but they gave us permission. My two cents. Griffin

Does anyone have any experience in 3D Ripper DX? It supposedly can capture 3d objects out of games and apps such as Google Earth. I would like to capture some 3d building out of Google Earth and bring them into 3ds Max. Has anyone ever attempted this? Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Griffin

Do you have a nunmber at the end of the filename you are trying to save? We have had problems in the past with filenames such as "Lobby1.jpg" This seems to confuse the job stitching the strips together. I maybe way off base on this but I hope it helps... Griffin

Is anyone familiar with the Level of Detail Utility in Max 8? I am able to get my simple and complex version into the utility but no matter what settings I use for the thresholds I always see both versions when I render. Any advice? Thanks! Griffin
