  1. I run a dual monitor KVM and all it took was one cable to cause it. The only other thing I think it could be is a problem with your graphics card? I would try it without the KVM, if it works fine then you know its one of the cables or the KVM that's the problem.
  2. Hi Gary, I had the same thing a couple of months back, for me it was a dodgy DVI cable.
  3. Taken from an interview with Trond Greve Andersen in March. Can you tell us about the software you use in the studio? For the 3d stuff we use Lightwave, modo and 3dsMax. VRay for 3dsmax and FPrime (or native) with Lightwave. For post work we use Adobe Photoshop and After Effects. I think that in my daily work I use mostly Lightwave with FPrime, HDinstances and a Photoshop actions that MIR ex-employee Kristian made to save clipart on our server.
  4. Hi Nick I have used Garden Gnome Software's Object2VR http://gardengnomesoftware.com/object2vr.php to do this.
  5. If you don't need to edit the point cloud in any way then VRMesh Reverse will do what you need.
  6. Hi Dave, When we asked the same question to the 3D printing company we use, they told us that most 3d programs are fine it was just SketchUp that we should avoid.
  7. Hi Andy, I use VRMesh studio but would recommend trying meshlab before parting with any cash on other software.
  8. Hi Devin, What is it you are trying to do? I work with a company that are the agents for photomodeler in the UK. They mostly use Photomodeler as a low cost way to measure from photographs but are now using Photomodeler Scanner to create point clouds for accurate moddeling and measuring. 1st is a carved face that was photographed using a camera phone and then Scanner was used to create the 3d model and it was printed out on the 3d printer. This was done as an example to show that almost any camera can be used. 2nd image is the Palladio statue in Chiswick Gardens. The statue is being monitored for erosion using photomodeler scanner.
  9. I was alxo interested in EXR and found this informaton but haven't had the time to look into it properly hope it is of use to you http://www.jamesshaw.co.nz/blog/?p=155
  10. I have one cat named Smudge and my Wacom is his domain! Nearly lost a finger the last time I needed to use it.
  11. Have you had a look at the models on turbosquid?
  12. Printer Type : Inkjet Printer Model: HP Designjet 90r (HP Ink - HP and 3rd Party paper)
  13. I use it both over the internal network and over the net. It can be a little clunky but its fine for what i need it for, which tends just to be getting an app running or checking the progress on something.
  14. I use Tight VNC (www.tightvnc.com) to remotely access our office computers. You could also use the remote desktop feature in windows.
  15. If you resize your image in steps of 10% you can increase the size of your image, with hardly any visible loss of quality to the naked eye. In the Image Size dialogue box make sure Resample Image is turned on. Switch the unit of measure to percent and type in 110 in both the Width and Height fields. Keep repeating this step until your image is the desired size doing it this way doesn’t seem to soften (blur) the image when you resize.
