  1. Studio/Institution: Personal Genre: Residential Interior Software: 3ds max 2011 Vray 1.5 Description: One of my first scenes, and a hard one with water. Want to improve water caustics. And the mosaics on the left wall show a funny pattern. Thx in Advance for any suggestions
  2. Hi All, I am having a problem with perspective views created in 2010. The problem I have is that my building has large eaves about 1200mm, and when rendered in perspective they are being elongated and stretched to look way out of proportion to how they appear is elevation. In perspective they appear more like 2000mm. Looks like the camera is stretching at the edges. I have placed the camera relatively close to the building, but have also tried moving it right out, and then zooming in, but that has made little difference. I am not adjusting the wide lines at all. Does anyone know just how accurate the camera's are, because i need the perspective and angles in this case to very accurate. Is their a way to fix this perspective distortion? The red line in the attached image shows aproximately how much these peices should overhang. So the problem is that the image is stretched / distorted horizontaly. I have placed on the image a copy of the elevation showing what the true proportions should look like. Thanks in advance to anyone who helps me on this problem.
  3. Hi, I am a beguinner so sorry in advance. But I would like to know how to increase the segements on an object so that i can deform it. Usually you are able to under the oject properties, but for some reason i cannot get this option?
  4. Does anyone know how to fix this: I am exporting from Archicad 11 to 3DS Max 9. I am using the above importer tool to bring it across. However when i follow the instructions of the Archicad Import Plugin my windows and furniture are 'whole' objects. For example the window which is made up of the glass panel and the frame around it is one whole object. So when i apply a material to it it fill the whole lot. I would like the glass to be glass and the frame to be a different material. Same applies to furniture where i can only apply one material to the whole object. Does anyone know how to fix this? Someone with hopefully more experience then me Cheers
