  1. Wow you must have an impressive people library. That would drive me crazy putting all those people in. The presentations are nice.
  2. I tested each one at 100% resolution, @ 720x486. Then I did a full screen for all 3.
  3. Ok I found somewhat of a solution but I don't understand the reasoning. I tried playing it with different players. 1. Quicktime player: Just sucked. It was so blurry that I couldn't read anything. 2. Windows Media Player: Still blurry but you could at least read the text. 3. Nero Showtime: Now this is exactly how I want it to play. The text is crisp, and the animation runs smoothly. Now my concern is that everyone that plays the animation is not going to have nero. I would love the animation to play good on a standard windows player that anyone can use. Any thoughts?
  4. This is the typ. way that I compile an animation together using PE. 1. Render each sequence as an AVI from Max. 720x486 2. Render TIFF still frames. ( I add text in PS to fade in and out ) 3. Bring in all the above and put it together. 4. Export movie to AVI. When I play the AVI's I created in Max on their own, they are nice a crisp. When I compile everything in PE the animation then gets burry, and not crisp and smooth. This has been driving me crazy for the longest time. I've tried about every setting while exporting, and I've only been somewhat successful with the following. Microsoft DV AVI Compressor: DV (NTSC) Frame Rate: 29.97 Pixel Aspect Ratio: D1/DV NTSC (0.9) Does anyone have any advice for me? Also at this time, any other compositing software is not the answer. Thanks for any help
  5. Try changing your Cameras White Balance to Neutral and see what that does. I typically use this white balance, and it turns out fine.
  6. Yes, I used vray Sun and physical cam. I actually had to put an invincible box within the plaza area with a white material to bounce some extra light in there. It was too dark. I know that the shadows are too dark. I didn't know how to brighten them up without overexposing the entire scene. I actually kind of liked the dark shadow to bright contrast of the building. With the angle of the building within the image, I wanted the eye to be drawn to the building. There's a parking garage to the left. I'll give the color mapping settings a try and see what kind of results I can get. This was already submitted but I can use it to further learn vray. Also I did use both vray sun and sky. I actually got to redo my original post. I forgot that I did photoshop in the sky.
  7. I use tiffs for all my textures.
  8. Well I did run into that problem early on when I had my light source somewhat behind the camera. The area between the 2 parked cars ( the curb and the pavers ) were overexposed. It's a little better now that I have my light source coming from the far left. I also lowered the sun to help out.
  9. Well it's been a long time since I've posted any work on this forum. This is my first Rendering done in Vray. I only had 2 days to play with Vray since buying it before getting into this project, Which was modeled and rendered in about 3 days. This took about 1.5 hrs to Render at 3000x2100. I use MAX 08 and the only thing done in post was adding the sky. I'm still getting my feet wet with Vray, but comments will be appreciated.
  10. Has anyone else been having problems with this site? http://www.vray-materials.de/ I haven't been able to get on for days now. Update: It's working now so no need to reply
  11. Brian, Thanks for taking the time to respond. I saw it in the Task window, but my employee ID wasn't visible next to it. I had to manually start the license. The other day it started on its own when I logged in to my computer, so I thought it was automatic. Time to Vray. Thanks again
  12. I see it in the Windows Task Manager.
  13. I finally got Vray in our office, and everything installed fine including the licensing drivers. The Dongle is also plugged into the back of my computer. When I first tried to use the Vray Render, it could not find the License. A couple of days later, I tried again and it worked. Today it doesn't work. I've contacted Chaos Group, but it's probably in the middle of the night over there. I was just wondering if anyone else was running into this problem, and if they found any solutions? I will appreciate any help. Thanks
  14. I'm getting the same error. Can't see the images
  15. I don't know the answer, but I also wouldn't mind some information on the matter. I currently use Premiere Elements at my office, and the results that I get aren't too impressive. The animations never look crisp. I typically render out each sequence as an Avi from Viz, then I join them together in P-Elements. Before importing the Avi's to Premiere Elements, I play back the avi movies and they look great on their own. Should I be doing it differently? Should I talk my office into upgrading to Premiere CS3? We always had problems with inserting animations into PP also. In order for it to work, I would use the smallest compression resulting in a crappy looking video. The last animation that I did, I suggested that when they got to the point in the PP presentation to show the video, I had them minimize PP and play the video from the desktop. This allowed me to show the movie at a higher resolution. Another Idea was to have 2 laptops and 2 projectors.
