1. The #7 fastest machine in the world, Stampede(#1 in open scientific research use) has these in them. Wait till June to see the new numbers when Intel will be upgrading the Phis again. http://www.top500.org
2. Dimitris, LG is not the only manufacturer of panels. Samsung and Panasonic also produce IPS panels for computer monitors.
3. If you are going to overclock your cpu, with what you have spec'd out, I would recommend getting the Corsair HX750 PSU. That 650 is going to be stressing.
4. check out any computer forum with for sale sections. I am always on xtremesystems and evga's forums here in the USA and they are always up for sale. Hell, there is a guy on the eVGA forums selling (4) GTX580 Classifieds for $400/each
5. Of course Andrew was correct. The 2 chips in question are the same chipset with almost identical ghz speed, the only difference is one has 2 more logical cores(4 more virtual cores), so yes, a monkey could determine it would be a 50% gain.
6. yes you can have fanless computers, it is called watercooling, and yes you can watercool without fans cooling the radiators, you just have to rig up a cooler to chill the water first.
7. Actually, don't get the 680 if you want 600 series. get the just released 670. They have 4gig vram models and they have a better price to performance. however, Andrew will probably chime in on this, there has not been any testing in regards to how the 600 series relates to architectural/visualization programs. Everything tested has been strictly gaming.
8. Here are my results. Remember I am running an i7-970 @ 4.2ghz
9. Yep, TAMU VizLab is one of the best and a major hiring point by huge firms. I went to school at TAMU and had friends go the Viz route as I went the Architecture route. BTW, back when I went to TAMU, there was no undergrad curriculum. Looks like they have one now, although I know you are already in undergrad in Chile. Maybe you can look into doing a semester away at TAMU in the Viz department.
10. Not necessarily an error. it may be way the algorithm is written to calculate 'Integer Math' I will download this program tonight and run it on my i7-970 that is OC'd to 4.2ghz and see what I come up with.

12. I totally agree with you Andrew. Testing needs to be done on this new "cuda" layout. I have a feeling it is not the same as the GTX580. I am more impressed that nvidia is bringing out cards with 3gb of vram.I will more than likely be picking up the eVGA FTW 4gb version when it is released ina few months, that is unless a new GTX comes out, which is already rumored.
13. http://www.evga.com/articles/00669/#GTX680FTW I can't wait!!!!
14. I currently am running 12gigs( 6 x 2gig sticks) of GSkill Pi's http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231335 And the reason i say use the same identical sticks is because one set may have certain timings and voltage and the other set different. It becomes an issue sometimes with trying to figure out stability issues.
