  1. Fellows, I am working on a single screen right now after working with two. My tools normally are on the other screen but since i am working on a single screen right now, my tools are on the other screen which i don't have anymore. So...my tools are lost. Can anyone tell me how to bring all my stuff back to one screen again? This should be a quicky for us, but i can't remember what the hotkey was for that.... Thanks, Dennis
  2. Studio/Institution: Dennis de Priester concept visualization Client: Freestyle Genre: Other Software: max, vray, cs4 Website: http://www.dennisdepriester.com Description: A study in unorthodox interior lighting and secundary outside light bouncing in, to illuminate the room. For models and texturing, that was fun!
  3. You're absolutely right Jeff, it was ment to be a 'watch out' statement. If you don't want to pay for your goods, you won't make it in this business because of a totally wrong mindset. Regards, Dennis
  4. Anyway, back to topic: when you render your scene with the correct plug (i believe max has a few tricks inside allready) then after effects does the job for you, really good! If you have CS4 you can also pick the right setup/format because CS4 has a lot to offer when it comes to 3D tv production.
  5. The ceiling looks bad because it catch all the outside lighting power from above and that generate those leaks. Clean up your model, increase your samplings in the render rollout...
  6. Pick another tree, it might help. There are a few buggy trees in the collection (Evermotion 58) so that could cause the prob. Did you calculate a new irr. map as well?
  7. Cool, you're a detail girl. I really dig the atmosphere! One thing, the ies on the right of the right image...off (or way down with the power).
  8. I just ran into this one: http://www.google.com Set size option to > 2K and off you go. Serious, i have a subscription on istock for an acceptable fee p/m. If you don't have a job to do, be efficient, just strawl the site and build your own library.
  9. You probably allready converted the proxy at another location (in an earlier process) and copied that proxy in the folder. Try to generate a new proxy of the original file and store in the same folder. Should work out fine. Cheers, Dennis

  11. Make sure your proxy's are in the same folder as the original .max files KuKu. Also, you might want to check your irradiancemap or have a 'add to current map' calculation. At last, there are a few buggy tree-items in some products. Enjoy, Dennis
  12. Ever heard of 'ghost bidders' in the elance culture? They are involved in the same company or maybe are the exact same people. They bid extremely low, and therefore eager creatives from all over the world try to go under, trying to get 'm as a solid and returning customer. Or, some people bid low and if the job is sealed, they start pulling arms to get the right price. It happens often when in the midst of a job, or when in possession of crucial information about the project. Yep, it's a nasty world out there...in India. Watch your back fellows... Dennis
  13. If you're using Global illumination (Indirect illumination) then try lower your secondary bounces (the one below). Otherwise send your scene to my mailadress and i'll take a look for you. Groeten, Dennis
  14. Thanks Stephen and travis. Well, we're not animating for now, but the design is in early stage with only the green-wall as permanent item. We want to see the model in 100+ different viewpoints so comping is not realy cool at this stage... Thanks, good luck. dennis
  15. W'e're all set guys. I checked scriptspot for a nice random scatterscript and downloaded this 'Jar_Planter: http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/gtools-jar-planter we prepared 4 different proxies (bush, fern, bunch of leaves and vine) and just 'mouseclicked' them in random shapes, rotated, twisted and size on the hotel surface. If finished, i'll post an example. This script is a musthave for us all. Instantly create 100's of different cars, complete central parks, you name it. Thanks for your help all.. Dennis
