  1. Hi wasteland giant I tried your suggestion before, nothing works but my solution. Or have tried it by yourself on max 9 on win 7?
  2. Hi SandmanNinja, thanks for your reply But i figured it out, now i got this working............ and anyone can user max 9 64bit on windows 7 64bit. The only thing we need to is, we just have to click on any one of the file inside the nested last child folder ........ then it will automatically takes that child folder as the last folder, and in that way we can solve this issue. THanks for your suggestion once again......... if anyone wants to install this configuration and have any problems please contact me, i will be happy to help u out in this.........
  3. Hi.... Does any one tried 3ds max 64bit on windows 7 64bit??? right now i have installed windows 7 and 3ds max 9 64bit, everything is working fine after trying hard. But one minor thing is troubling me much........... that is when we open file which ask for missing external textures (bitmaps), its not accepting the last child folder, i mean for example i want to browse something like this. D:\client\projectname\textures\images........ if i try to add the last folder images to it, it will stop at D:\client\projectname\textures. it is not taking the last folder......... does anyone know about this problem? if there is any solution for it please let me know......... Thanks in advance

  6. Hi.............. how can log in to your web site, i wanted to see your tutorial on linear workflow.

  7. Hi Jim...... thanks for your suggestion will try that, as now its creating irradiance map, even now also its not using its full power, only using 215 to 20%
  8. Light Cache calculation is over..... now. But it never used more than 30% CPU, but its complete so for now i will not think more about it, as i need to finish the animation. Will start irradiance map now
  9. I tried by hiding instances, if i do that it is doing better, i mean light cache is building fast and usage also increases.... (not hundred percent) And i am using dynamic limit of 12 GB ...... dont know still its not using 100%.... only 20 to 25% its using. And about contacting Chaos is the last option then, or i should try adding some more RAM and then i will check once again.
  10. ok here is my screenshot............... I think while calculating also it should use 100% CPU Power....
  11. Yes passes are set to 16......... but still problem exists. Please help me.......
  12. I have a problem, with calculating light cache, when i start flythrough light cache calculation, it uses only 20 to 25% of CPU power . below more detail is given 0) Its a Quad Core Quad machine (AMD) at 2GHz 1) multithreading is on 2) displacement is off globally (used script to do this) 3) Interpolation is also off golbally 4) Machine is having 16GB of RAM 5) 3ds max 9 x64 is used 6) and Page file size goes upto 16GB 7) Dynamic memory is set to 8GB first then i changed it to 2GB still same probelm Can anyone suggest something to solve this problem...... this is a walkthrough project, huge area.... with lots of building and maximum trees (used instances). Dont know whats wrong with this...... please help. Thanks in advance....
  13. Hi Tayrona, Problem is solved........... thank you very much Tayrona. That is a great script...... and your guess was 100% correct. Thanks once again, it just saved me.....
  14. Hi Vakis, I guess that is because of white material of the paving, as it is generating GI. You can try by switching off its Generate GI in Object setting in Vray Systems properties.
