The reflection for these objects is brighter than the objects themselves. It's a very simple scene. Basically two boxes and a vray sun/sky. One box is a pure mirror, the other box is a metal with glossiness down to .55 . I attached a couple of images. Clamp output and subpixel mapping are on there. It's got nothing to do with GI or AA, The problem goes away when I move the vray sun, and can be replicated using a plain direct light.
