  1. Hello, Issam. They are windows. As you said, in the second image, there is a mistake. I suggest you to call the architect, to ask about the right position. Additionally, you will need elevations, to create an accurate model of the building. The largest windows looks like curtain walls. Good luck
  2. Hi, Vinay You should use a method you feel comfortable. However, If I were you, I wouldn't use booleans. I would recommend you to use Edit poly, because you will have better control of mesh. You can search tutorials in youtube with tags "architecture modelling edit poly", and others. Good luck!
  3. Hi, Andrew I agree with nicnic. On the other hand, if you want preserve link, I would recommend you re-import, using this option: "Combine by revit materials". You will get 1 object every material, wich is useful. Don't forget to check your units in revit and 3ds. It must be same units. In adittion, use fbx format or .rvt (max 2013). Good luck
  4. That is because V-ray works with Arch&Design materials. You don`t need to convert it. Consequently, it is normal.
  5. Hi, Rahul I recommend you Vray dirt http://www.spot3d.com/vray/help/150SP1/vraydirt_params.htm Good luck
  6. You can do it trough Vray toon effect, and using VrayEdgesTex. You will see, available, reflection, glossines, and others. Good luck.
  7. Hi, Marco. I understand that you are using 3ds max. Select the floor, go to object properties, and uncheck visible to reflection/refraction. Done. The sphere reflects only the cube. Good luck!
  8. I never had the same problem, but , I would suggest you some tests: Change Max noise value, Change max paths per pixel, and change antialiasing settings in Vray settings production tab (increase values, and use a smooth filter like Mitchell Netravalli). Also use subpixel mapping and clamp output. (I don't know, if the AA settings works in rt, but we can test it). Additionally, increase lights subdivisions. What kind of lights are you using? Good luck!
  9. Can you post an image? You may need more rendering time. Aditionally, a few render settings in vray tab, also works in vray rt. Test it. Good luck.
  10. If I understand, you need to import it in archicad, wich is Bim. Using dwg or fbx, you loose bim information. In this case, IFC is the format. You need to export it from revit, and import from archicad. It will preserve information related with geometry and bim, in order to edit it in archicad. I have revit, so I can convert it for you if you want, altough, I don't have Archicad, I can't test it. Good luck.
  11. In color mapping, check clamp output and Sub-pixel mapping. Good luck! Andres
  12. I agree with you, Scott, both solutions are better.
  13. Hi John. As a suggestion, make auxiliar cylinders, after that all te cylinders in edit poly and attach them together. Once you have done, use boolean. It is not recomended to use boolean, but it will be worse if you use downlinghts models as an operand. Good luck.
