  1. Hey guys, i'm getting into Phoenix fd these days and i'm having some trouble creating a wide fountain emitter. Here's the deal (check the pics attached): the waterfall should be sharp and uniform, not that fragmented. I tryed to change many parameters but i couldn't find any solution. I'm sure it's a pretty simple point....thanks in advance for any answer. Bye!
  2. Yep, that's why i always composite them in post. Have fun!
  3. At the risk of beign boring, check this out. It's a caustic generator: you may save the image and composite it in PS. A pool with caustics is much more realistic and catchy.
  4. And putting a few caustics would be nice too.
  5. This image is merely inspired by a dining room of a villa in the north of Italy, recently photographed in an architectural magazine. All i wanted to do was recreate those simple forms and this elegant mood with its modern design. Max, Vray, Photoshop. Hires 2500X2333 px. Enjoy!
  6. I will.....btw thanks for your compliments too.
  7. I wish i could show you my avatar, i think i don't have enough messages yet.
  8. You're absolutely right, that's why my first purpose was to focus the sink and leave the foreground and the background blurred. As i said before, doing this sucked: the image looked strange as the focus area was too small compared to the rest which was a 'big ball of blur'. I was even intend to delete the DOF. Focusing the foreground gave me the mood i was looking for. That's all. About the 2 euros....can i send you a bum cheque?
  9. If you refer to the second image, i did that on purpose. Focusing the sink and the water (and i did it) did not emphasize the whole image, it looked pointless and also phony, even if it was a standard/correct depth of field. When i tried to focus the soap and the beginning of the wall on the right, i was pretty happy with the result. I'm pretty sure that the chair is in a correct scale. I agree about the sink material, it should be less reflective as the bidet and the toilet; i probably multiplied it in ps without paying enough attention. Thanks guys for your C&C, keep it up!
  10. Hello everyone. These are a few images of my last work, a simple bathroom with stone walls. Modeling in 3ds, rendered in vray, post production (colour correction and DOF basically) in Photoshop. Hires in 2500 pixels. Enjoy!
  11. Second and third images are absolutely stunning...great postproduction too.
  12. I totally agree with you. Simple light setups (like this one) are always much more effective than complicate mixtures of natural and artificial lights and whatnot. If i had to struggle with something hard i'd prefer to deal with shading than lighting. At least this is my own philosophy.
