  1. Thanks for all your comments, Just to reply to a few of them, All trees/shrubs are "photoshopped" and with the exception of the foreground tree are all from got3d.com I do have problems adding a really convincing tree to my renders, especially when placed in such a prominent position. As for Baldricks comment regarding the rainwater pip, I hadn't noticed that before, and cheers it's beginning to bug me now as well!! I take the points about converging verticals, but I kind of like them, personal taste I guess. Agree about the "dark" car, and one more thing, Wad, are the peeps really overscaled? cheers
  2. Hi all, Not submitted anything for ages so here is an apartment block which is primarily aimed for retired people. AutoCAD/max and vray/photoshop. Any comments would be greatly received!! cheers Richard
  3. I like your roof tiling, it's not bump mapped is it? It looks modelled to me. Makes a big difference. Very good
  4. layiso? What version of AutoCAD would that be then? 2005?
  5. hi guys If you could critique these images I would be grateful. CGI is not something we ususally offer within the practice but I am tring desparately hard to promote it. These are a couple of projects which we have gained on the basis of producing CGI's and would really appreciate your views. I still feel there is something missing but can't put my finger on it. The mansion block is a new residential scheme comprising of 2 bed flats and the other is a community centre. Both in Essex. Many thanks Richard
  6. Hi, talking of monitor calibrations/displays, my main problem is after finishing an image in photoshop, I then open the image in Illustrator for inserting logos, text, etc, and the image looks totally different to that in photoshop. The colours are far more sautarated and print likewise. I have to therefore compensate for that when in Photoshop. Needless to say my prints look different again. Any ideas on this one? Are there specific colour settings for each application? Thanks
  7. Hi all, I'm starting to get a bit frustrated with my images' colours looking different within certain applications. For example, when I view an image with Windows image viewer, it looks different when taken into Photoshop. I have just transfered an image from Photoshop to Illustrator and the colours look more saturated. Is this a colour profile type problem I need to resolve? If so, how? If not, any other ideas? Many thanks Richard
  8. HI, Not sure if this is any good, called LTToolkit(link below). This is a problem we also have in the office with the LT users not being able to use our lisp routines. It appears to do what you need plus more BUT is $450. http://www.cadinfo.net/reviews/lttoolkitmax.htm
  9. HI, If you are unsure, I would get the ADT, as it IS AutoCAD with extra functionality, whether you use the ADT extras is then up to you. Richard
  10. Hi all, I am trying to install the RPC Photoshop plugin without success. Anybody else had trouble installing it? It gets part way through and then an error about writing API files crops up. I am using Photoshop CS even though the plug-in asks whether you are using version 5.5,6 or 7. I assume it would work with CS also? Any help appreciated. Just for info, I am logged on as administrator with full access rights, using XP Pro. Many thanks.
  11. Hi Iain, This is so utterly beyond what my capabilities could achieve, I think I hate you!! Stunning. Richard
  12. One of our current projects at the moment. Comments welcome.
  13. Anyone else noticed this problem? When selecting entities, then panning and selecting further enities, the original selected entities which are no longer visible on the screen are deselected. Any ideas or variables that may cure this? Cheers
  14. COME ON YOU ENGLAND, Just dissapointed Robbie Savage wont be playing, wipe the smile off his smarmy arrogant face. We will probably start to take it easy once we have banged the 6th goal past you!! Rooney hat-trick? Owen hat-trick? Defoe? The possibilities are endless. GET IN!!!
