hi i'm sure this is something simple but its really f***ing me off when i try to draw a line it goes all jagged when i move from the first point, when I snap to something it straightens...any ideas how i can make it work properly..... also my snap isn't working, when i go to click on an imported dwg line it says its snapping but goes to a point just off the line...any reason why and how i can solve this cheers

ok from all the reviews it seems to be much for muchness the nec is newer and more expensive, the dell is widescreen and the iiyama has a good reputation and is cheaper how the hell do you decide, what are the important things to look out for. I will be mainly using it for CAD and 3ds Max work with a bit of Photoshop too

ok someone else just threw the DELL Ultrasharp 2007WFP 20.1" in there at £250 + vat anyone got one of these?

Ok here is the dilema which 19" monitor to go for? the NEC 90GX2 at about £270+vat or the IIYAMA H481S or IIYAMA X486S both at about £185+vat I think the Iiyamas look better and i have always brought their monitors and the cost difference is about £100 cheaper, but i also know that the NEC is a newer monitor so would appreciate feedback on peoples experiences and comments look forward to hearing from you all as we will be placing the order next week cheers

As always with these things it tend to be the client who chooses the view and they wanted some young ladies in the front of the image to be "aspirational" as for the trees its all part of the scheme...some times you just cant choose

well the latest update it that the 3gb made the comp very unstable so we took out 1gb and its working much better. Bearing in mind though that im using a standard NEC desktop maching at work, i tend to bring in my alienware laptop from home as its quicker. oooh for a proper workstation!!

erm how about looking at comic and anime too? there was a comic called channel zero (1997ish) by Brian Wood that was set in a future NYC. Also its not NY but the anime Metropolis by Osamu Tezuka has some amazing visions of a future mega-city. Of course thinking mega-city theres the comic series 2000AD.

well i've run out of time on these or though id like to tweak them a bit later. There is another bedroom and a bathroom if people want to see them?

Ok been off a bit and had client change thery're minds as usual but here are the latest updates using mental ray. Haven't had a chance to persuade the bosses to get vray as you all say its better. C&C welcome as per usual

Hi All well just had my sysytem upgraded from 1GB to 3GB after moaning about how slow it was. The problem is that Max seems to be out of control now using all the CPU power ( 3.2GHZ ) and i can't even open a web page whilst it renders without it freezing up or slowing down. Is there a way to limit max's memory usage so that I can run other applications as i was before the upgrade cheers

yeah i guess so, but id still like to know whats causing it, the bath, wc and duct boxing out are the same materials so why arent they behaving the same way
