I modeled in SketchUp and imported into 3ds Max. I started remodeling the exact same project in 3ds and added lighting and am getting a totally different outcome than from importing straight sketchup. Do users usually adjust the mr Photographic Exposure Control using the presets or the DSLR controls?

I think it has to do with the automated daylighting system I tried a few different settings in the mr Photographic Exposure Control Then removed the mrSun all together. Am I just not understanding something? Are there any good tutorials about this anyone could direct me to? Thanks for your help Dirk

I have been a Sketchup user for quite awhile and am in the process of learning 3ds Max. I have imported sketchup models into max and started adding lighting. Nothing seems to work. All of the units are the same. In inches. Using photometric lighting. I downloaded the GH House Challenge model off another forum. Opened up the 3ds model and added lighting. Added lighting. Worked fine. Imported the Sketchup file. Added lighting. Nothing. I am pulling my hair out trying to figure it out. I want to slowly migrate to 3ds but it is going to take some time so I know i will need to incorporate sketchup with 3ds while learning. Can anyone let me know if i am missing a step or need to check a setting? Thanks for your time Dirk
