  1. For the floor i've put a big concrete map (6000X6000px) into a 'tiles' diffuse slot in max. Put the tiling to 5 x 5. Boosted the color fading to get the color difference between the tiles. same with bump and reflection slots. It's actually not the right way because the concrete map structure runs over into the next tile, where you actually should see a different map structure per tile.
  2. Studio/Institution: - Genre: Residential Interior Software: Max/PS/Vray Description: Impression of a spacious interior.. C&C welcome
  3. thanks for the input guys! I'm currently working on the final images. I decided to go with a plain background (like the big boys do ) I want to keep de DOF in, because i like the effect, although i might want to reduce it a bit. and...we're playing something by ATCQ...
  4. Im currently working on a turntable... I've also attached the pic where it al started... I'm not sure what to do with the table and the background...any tips ? or any critiques on the model so far.
  5. Marcio Kogan, Architecture, Exterior, Brazil...C&C welcome
  6. i'm not so sure what to think about this post
  7. Thanks for your comments! You're right about the sun and the glare. Although it's not physically correct, I prefer its aesthetic value and therefore I will leave it in there . I was not so sure about the leaves either (ArchDuo also mentioned the leaves). I'll try a brighter (yellowish) color or leave them out. I dont feel the image is forced or what so ever. The only thing that feels unnatural to me is the lightened space underneath the concrete block (and the glare).
  8. Hello Jon,

I will pm you a reply tonight with a few questions...

    I'm interested though :)

  9. Inspired on a design of 3xNielsen ('Bimhuis', Amsterdam) I've made a rather dramatic image, containing two strong architectural elements. C&C very welcome...
  10. The first picture shows the initial starting point (inspiration), the second pic shows the eventual render. It's obvious I changed a lot ...
  11. Thanks for the comments.... @tcupp I also had some doubts about the blurred person...and I didnt model the plants myself. @Nooxy Well noticed; I reduced the GI on a few plants cause I thought they drew too much attention (too bright). I could have changed the textures of the leaves, but I was too lazy
  12. I'm relatively new to 3dmax and vray. I've used two exisiting villas as a reference for my renderings. (Mirindiba House by Kogan and Playa la Isla House by Doblado) Just before I've only used these programs, during my architectural study, as a tool to show my teachers how certain spaces work. Not directly for presentational matters. I'm hoping to get some constructive critiques to help me master these programs furthermore.
