  1. Perhaps we will see V-ray inside AC soon too. Yeah, Lightworks is not measurable with Cinerender, Octane or Maxwell but I personaly used it few times and it can help in early concept stage for some design decisions and it is okay for draft previews, not for fancy production work of course. But c4d render is here now so.. Yeah I agree totally, it will be nice to see high poly vegetation in AC without compromising its performance.
  2. Yes, this is pretty exciting news for AC users and I look forward to seeing cool work done with it. Good point though regarding implementation. It will be interesting, one more workflow in viz field.
  3. Make sure u selected custom profile in wall settings (red square) then click on wall you just drew and hit right mouse button, edit complex profile and just edit profile via standard AC tools (insert new node, curve edge) then hit apply
  4. Check this out if you haven't done this already, but don't go overboard (cuz you can feel tiny lags in max) make screenshot so you can get default settings back if theres no default button http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8sGAAYqQGug tick off filter maps in vray tab in materials. Just thinking, maybe with scene states, configure interpolation samples of lights which are near camera to use higher values and farther lights smaller samples ofcourse.
  5. Hi Andy, I don't know if it would help but for testing purposes, I would in irradiance map tab choose custom preset and in basic parameters tick 0 (or rly anything as long as values are the same) for both min and max rate so then you have only 1 pass for quick tests. Also would do the same thing in all reflective/refractive materials, use interpolation and min and max rate the same value. Hope it helps, Regards, Robert
  6. Hi, Check out this out http://www.redstickcad.com/ when you draw floorplan, you have similar dataflow to bim tools, and then you can even export information to dxf and ifc format, so you can import via revit or archicad for further work.
  7. Sometimes adding edit mesh modifier and collapsing it to edit poly solves problems, just a thought.
  8. Sure, maybe it is easier to asign ID's within polygon/element mode and apply a multi/sub-object material as you mentioned
  9. You might need monitor calibrator to set things right again. http://www.xrite.com/product_overview.aspx?ID=1454
  10. Hi Ruud, This site has all kind of cool tuts for skp http://sketchupvrayresources.blogspot.com/ there are modeling tuts for sofas, pillows etc. via various plugins. For rounded edges you can use this plugin http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?t=10370 just need to create free account if you already haven't, to be able to download. Cheers, Robert
  11. Hi Ruud, Cool site, artlantis and skp or archicad for images?
