  1. hey tom thanks for the reply..... i think....think its actually the proxy levels? i noticed it was at 6.1. i knocked it to 1 and seems to work....or am i nuts? wont render on my home machine now in any case so taking it to work to render on the 32 gb machines
  2. did a few tests and 100% its the fact that my opacity map is not working in the Proxies. I am not reading any where that I should be having this issue.....ideas on why?
  3. Hey guys just ran a 2-3 hour render and my trees are all blotched up. It looks as though the alphas for the leaves are not working? They are the Birch trees I saw on Ronans site and Im using bushes from the free xfrog library. In any case the geometry seems to be showing up and not seeing leaves so Im sure this is the case. I attached the texturight for the trees.....they should be 100% being professional trees and in Vray MTL already. Ideas? Thanks guys!
  4. Thanks a lot guys Im going to have a busy weekend looking over some of or ALL of these! hah One mans curiosity is another mans rewards Keep em coming!
  5. whoa....thats a list... I know a few of those. I do like Advanced Painter as well! I'll have to look into that Zorb script
  6. Obviously I make a lot of my sweeps using the outline of what ever Im provided by my CAD but this is also a nice little tool http://www.pluginfree.net/2013/11/download-sweeper-for-3dsmax.html This is the script I found through Facebook (CG Record is a good follow). It has S-tiles and caps as well as fencing and other tiles meshes. Used only for a few mins but makes the s-tile creation a breeze! http://www.pluginfree.net/2013/10/avizstudio-tools-atiles-201-for-3ds-max.html
  7. I used a lot of Neils back in an older job and once an a while on my own. Blur not so much. Once I can get on my PC Ill post a link to this one s-tile/ rail one I came across on Facebook the other day
  8. Hey guys the Marketing company I work for has a TON of in house scripts to make their lives easier on things such as lighting, render settings, spanish tiles, ect... So now when I do my own stuff at home I feel like Im doing more work then I should haha I've been gathering a few scripts here in there over the past few months but curious if there were any great FREE ones that you cant live with out while creating your exterior or interior renders. So far I have floor gen, a spanish tile generator I just found but can't think of the name off hand. It also does fencing and other various architectural geometry and a book gen. I really wish I was allowed to take those work ones home, they have some great ones! so what do you all use that makes your life easier?
  9. Alrighty a friend lent me a few really old 3d models he's had lying around from somewhere....they look decent enough anyways. I just rendered them out and composited them into my final image. Looks pretty good! On to the next
  10. OK so I did some work obviously Added some nice photo trees. Found a couple people at least that I had on hand thatd work. I couldnt find any vehicles but this one worked well...even looks like one of the guys I work with
  11. Yeeeeeaaa... I got some textures in there for this. I guess I can do that with my trees too. At least the ones on the left. I've tried dithering, hue coloring, feathering, lots and it just wont make them pretty. Too much fine detail in them little things they are picking up way too much light reflections everywhere. I'll try some trees and get something up tomorrow.....ish hah
  12. if you have some ideas wit them treees Im all ears. I cant get them freaking clean looking. I keep ending up with this halo around them and cant get it to look cleaner. They looks find but one you zoom in ....YUCK!!!
  13. So I made a few more adjustments to it. Think it's getting closer....and since I never seem to get comments on my stuff here Im going to guess that Im the bbbbbeeesstestestestestestest artist in here lol Thanks for your comments though really
  14. Just a bit more fine tuning, added some blurring and tweaked the cement abd window reflections.
  15. I didnt read other comments and maybe you mentioned it here but to me the roads seem a bit too shiny. Even if they were wet they seem too shiny.....no? If they were wet they would have areas of gloss and none gloss....puddles and what not. Otherwise I really like these
