  1. I did change the profiles in the color management, but i didnt try that one. It does look better with that profile, thanks Enrique! My default profile was the one with my monitors name (LGw2252). I still notice a yellowish hue in evetything that is white, so probably my monitor is badly cofigured aswell. What gamma and color temperature you normaly use with your monitor?
  2. Hi guys! Im making some test renders for a new scene using max2010 and mental ray. When i render in max the image looks fine, but when i save it and open it with Windows photo viewer, the image as a yellowish tint. But, if i reopen it with max or Paint.net again it looks fine. Does this problem as something to do with the color calibration of my monitor? Ive attatched my test renders. Thanks in advance!
  3. The only thing i would tweak a little bit is the plant material, looks a little pale, other than that, I think it looks good!

    Flyby Animation

Hi guys, im starting a new project that is basically a flyby animation over some islands. Since the sky and sea are going to play a big part in this, im trying to get them to look as realistic as possible. For the sea, im using a tesselated mesh with a noise modifier (animated) and the arch&design water material. For the clouds ive tried the mrSky with cloud images in the haze slot. Ive also tried the dust devil plugin to make the clouds, but max 2010 says its not supported, so what other way is there to make realistic clouds? Thanks in advance!
  5. A little update, i lightened the render a little bit and added some dof. I tweaked the leather, after i made this render, just have to re-render the whole thing again...
  6. Thanks Matt! I think its passable too, but not good enough . Im adding a little dof and glare to the render, but its taking forever to render....
  7. Hi guys, a little update on my scene. Ive chaged the camera angle and the lighting. I think my leather still needs a little work, but anyway, feel free to comment!
  8. Thanks for the tip abmitalia! Ill check them out!
  9. I thought of putting a mirror in that wall, but i think it wouldnt look good in an office. I suppose that "cient" means client, and if so, yes. Nop, no fresnel reflections. Ive attatched the leather settings from the smaller renders. Ive attatched a reference image of the kind of leather i would like to make.
  10. Thanks for the comments guys! The reason ive chosen this camera angle is because im trying to show as much as i can. There are 4 renders from this office (the other 2 are attatched below), and the problem is that its so small that these were the best angles i could get. But now that you guys have an idea of the entire room, you can give me ideas for better angles. By the way, i still cant make a decent leather material, i dont now if its the materials or the lighting, but it always seems of... so if someone has any tips for a leather material, please share The renders attatched below are early test renders, so some things have changed. Thanks!
  11. Hi guys, this is a small office from a project im making. Im still trying to make a decent leather for the couch, but i just cant one that im happy with. I also forgot to chamfer the edges of the wall paitings. Any comments would be great!! Thanks!
  12. Very nice render Naty! Can you explain how you did that leather? Share those settings!
  13. Ok, thanks for the heads up! Thanks Travis!
  14. This may be a stupid question but when you guys use specular maps in Arch&design materials, do you put the map in the reflection and glossiness slots or just in the reflection slot? Thanks in advance!
  15. Thanks Stan! Eheh, youre right, damn lawnmower!!!
