  1. Hey any tips for exporting to EPS? I'm a new SketchUp user.. I started on Sunday (July17th). This is the first building ive done with this program, just something i came up with. I like the program but the more complex the model the harder i find sketchup to use... Im finding it takes a very long time to export to EPS. when it finally finishes the stroke pen weight on the lines is very thick, so thick it hides the details. I solve this by scaling in Illustrator without scaling the pen weights but i find that sketchup doesnt properly draw all the details ive modeled in the program. for example if you look at the cornice you'll notice areas that are not outlined. How can i get this to output correctly? I want a vector file, if i wanted a raster i could print the screen.. or export to a jpeg but not what i want. Am i missing something?? Mike.. ps. this jpeg was created from an eps export so you can see the troubles i have.

    cdg purge

ah! here you go: http://www.caddepot.com/utilities/CDGPurge20.zip one thing it does that i dont really like is it will remove the defined layout settings, but you can prevent this by purging each category seperately if that's a problem for you. Mike...
  3. ok Cesar, You have a plan drawn in 1:200 (metric) you're probably going to want to reproduce this at a 1/16"-1' imperial scale (16*12=192 approx 200) so it'll be on a similar sized drawing sheet. (1" = 25.4mm , 1' = 304.8mm, 1m = 1000mm you get the idea...) the drawing scale will most likely represent millimetres not metres (ie the dimensions will be 600 not .6 etc..)
  4. in Canada we use metric primarily, SO scale 1:200 is 1mm = 200mm UNLESS stated on the drawing that the units are metres. most countries (japan included) are metric. if we're talking a house (we are) it's absurd to suggest that the scale would be 1"-200' think about it guys even 1"-200" is silly
