  1. go to the chaosgroup forums. there are way more threads on this there but...what version of vray are you running? are you sending a job to distribute render on backburner? you should try simple tests with no GI and large buckets to see what's going on with the render nodes from the workstation with the vray license dongle. if the servers are set to restatt on render end give it like 30secs before hitting render again! Don't try calculating the LC on all of them. they're all different speeds and some might not even finish calculating. again too many variables. visit chaosgroup forums
  2. if your trying to light the scene with that jpg. use the vray dome light n put it in the texture slot. try no gi to see if it does it. jpg set to screen on environment map shouldn't give u that if your lighting the scene with another source like dome or the Gi environment slot in vray rollout. if there's a glossy reflection in those areas it might need a more drastic falloff too. can't really tell without the file.
  3. did anyone mention autograss? it's basically like vrayscatter but only does grass. pretty good. google it.
  4. you need to work on elliminating the tiling of the textures especially on the beige back walls. maybe add some very subtle glossy reflection on it since it dominates the view. the grass patch needs displacement or scattered proxies. or ho out and take a picture of grass and paste it in. if you had the time you should add people but chande the mood to twilight and add artificial light and candles (no direct sun) so it looks more inviting and drammatic. that screen would make more sense and it would hide the imperfections.
  5. Use the vray forums available chaosgroup. Use the latest version of vray.
  6. The fastest is max 2010 Sp1 with vray 1.50 SP4a and RT SP1. If you have an autodesk subscription it shouldn't be a big deal going to max 2010 or 2011(avoid this) or getting the free upgrade to vray SP4a.
