  1. Great start. 1. The bed sheets are floating. 2) Add a door on the right side or add more thickness to the wall. It appears 1 inch thick. Try 4"-6" 3) Double check your scale. THe chair on the left looks a little too big. Once you lower the bed sheet, the chairs going to look even bigger. 4) Give the stool a new home. Maybe tuck it under the table to the right. 5) Over all brightness can go a little higher. To add more interest add a sun coming through the window and cast on the the bed and wall. Good luck EJ
  2. I like where its going so far. Here's a few things that may help out. 1. The fire flies you mentioned are most likely your material. Use must have some blurry reflections so increase the subdivs for the glossiness. You can also do it globally but it doesn't look like you need to. 2. The glass in the top and lower rails is harly existant. You can do a few things to fix them; Add some color to the fog color of the glass material such as green;Use white for both the reflection and refraction and black for the diffuse, also enable fresnel. 3. The light on the left side are alittle harsh. Lower the intensity and soften the edges. 4. If a viewer of the street saw your image, would they what they are looking at and what the space is or what it is used for? Is there anything you could add to help engage your audience more? Hope that helps EJ
  3. Studio/Institution: Redheadx Genre: Residential Interior Software: 3ds max _Vray Description: After starring at this for so long I'm not able to see what I need to fix. Theirs a weird shadow that magically popped up in the render angle and I still need to finalize the stove and refrigerator materials, but other than those what do you think?
  4. I would add a bump map to the floor. And possiblly add more misc object to add more interest to the scene. The base of the coffee table seems a little big or maybe its just the angle. Also try turning the gamma on if it is not already to bring out more color from the exterior
  5. The exterior is too bright and the window seems small. AD a background Floor is too reflective. Reduce the reflection and add a bump map. The checker blanket does not fit in to the room add a material the will complement the colors in the room. I would go off of the baby blue that is through out the room. The walls look like aluminum. The guitar is too big. I hope that helps
  6. I would add some variety to the book cover and size. Since they are all the same my eye goes straight to them. The books on the far top shelf have a size variety but are also the same cover and everyone else
  7. Great image! I agree the rocks on the driveway feel off. Try moving them to the edge of the drivway to blend them in with the grass. The 5 small green trees on the left look flat. On the lower patio the material seems to traveling at a angle and them changes into another material. UVW mapping should fix that. On the left edge above the driveway it looks like a garden hose but Im not sure. Either remove it or have it be more clear on what it is. good stuff!
  8. For the modeling, take a look at your smoothing groups inside of edit poly. The edges of your bed are faceted. try using auto smooth and that should clear it up. Same for the frame. I would also add pillows and a blanket. Max has a cloth modifier that will work real nice
  9. Thanks for your comment but I'm not following , could you be a little for specific Thanks

As you can see I have not populated it yet. I'm just trying to nail down the light and materials first before adding more. Let me know what you think . Thanks
  11. Studio/Institution: redheadx Genre: Residential Interior Software: 3ds max and vray Description: Working on a piece for my portfolio. Currently working with lighting and materials. I will populate the scene a little more as soon as I get the lighting and materials down. There are a few areas that I'm aware I need to fix such as the blurry middle tiles. Well let me know what you think so far Thanks
  12. Ive been messing around with the little time I have and made a few adjustment. I still have a lot to fix, especially with the wood. I need to turn off a the effect reflections to get get ride of the white rectangle in the glass reflection and I could probably turn down the frosted glass a bit to but just though I would show the progress from the last post I did 2 weeks ago
