  1. Hi, I would like my account to be deleted. But I can't find a way to do this. Will forum entries also be purged of my previous presence when I'm gone? I need some tips in here, thanks in advance!
  2. Thank you, Stan. So far personal projects are all I have. But since you don't share my critical perspective on it, I might as well continue until something comes up.
  3. Hi all, I've been looking for unpaid/low pay projects in last few days. I couldn't find anything that fits my abilities so far. So i thought I might ask you guys. I'm using 3ds max since 2005 (Vray mainly in last two years). So far I've done several projects but they could be classified as 'ghost modeling' and I can't really talk about them, or take credit. Although I have some. So the whole purpose of seeking interships is to start building up a CV. I realize I should have one by now but I had other things to do also. If you have any idea, link, suggestion, I would appreciate your time to contact me. Below is a small gallery of my recent works. http://cgzilla.cgsociety.org/gallery Cheers!
  4. I am working on a project with a really tight schedule, in short, I'd like to disable HDRI reflections on the surface in this scene (see image provided). The teapot should reflect upon a clear white, reflective surface, is there a way to do this? I tried rendering in layers and putting image together in Photoshop but it doesn't feel realistic at all... Help asap would be appreciated!!
  5. You didn't specify the renderer. Judging from the images I'd say its Vray. Your problem may be inexperience rather than actual problem with renderer. Although images look rather promising at this stage. There are countless tutorials on lighting out there. Do some research on that I'm sure you will improve dramatically. Never stop learning!
  6. I'd lose the floor tiling, or make it less frequent. It's not very realistic. But everything else looks like a shot from a magazine. Thumbs up!
  7. Superb! The only thing I'd change is a bump map behind stone texture, they appear too flat in my oppinion. Other than that I love it. Your client chose well.
  8. Hi Dario, your work seems to be in need for some changes. Similar to my scene. You might want to take a look at my settings and replies I recieved. Looks fairly nice so far. http://forums.cgarchitect.com/39455-vray-gi-cleanup-tips-needed-new-post.html
  9. Reminds me of the Waverly Hills sanatorium story... Looks like a nice clean start. I'd love to see the final render. Keep up the good work!
  10. Amazing stuff. Makes me study even harder, just for the skill its self. Thanks for sharing this.
  11. I love it. Reflections of the light look strange, but other than that It's a pretty good render.
  12. They are now. You were right, James. Using shell modifier did the job. I'm ready to texture and assign materials now! Thanks!
  13. Well, you are all right to some extent. Changes you proposed did manage to clear out much of the things I wanted out. Though, now I am getting a sort of shining behind certain objects. But I decided to figure out this one on my own. I will be posting final render once I'm done. Your oppinions will be greatly appreciated. And so are the advices. Thanks to you all!
  14. Yes it is. I'm self-taught max user my self. Still working on my Web site (rendering stuff). Anyway, like Andrei said, never stop learning. There is room for improvement but I'd say you're ready. So, good luck! TKM
  15. Hi everyone, I'm working on a small kitchen scene and I'm having odd "shadows" all over the place. Tried getting rid of it with every trick I know. Still, walls look rather messy. Another weird thing is when I try to back the VraySun light with a basic Vray light as additional light source, I get black screen.(?) Can't say I had this experience before, but if anyone has idea what may be the cause - I'd appreciate it. Cheers! TKM
