  1. Thank you braddewald, yes you're right I have the same feeling too, I've resized the pictures, thank you for comments by the way
  2. Thank you for reply Heni Glad you like the saturated look of the render. I've see the "dupe a photo" section, I'm not sure to have the level for that yet, but that's could be fun yes! Inxa, thank you! I wish the original photo to be my render too! And I agree I could rework some little things on it, especially in post-comp for color yes. The photo are from archiexpo.fr and aroots.org by the way.
  3. Hi everyone! So I still continue my arch viz formation, and there is two renders of modern bathrooms: The first one: original photo: (Mine is a bit too much contrasted/saturated maybe, I just have a hand on photomatrix and need some training to understand this apps...maybe I should have blurred the ground reflexions too?) The second one: original photo: (I'm happy with this one, beside the ceramic shader which is "a bit" off) That's it for now! Comments and crits are welcome!
  4. It would be so nice to have clients that ask for damaged house like this one Really nice work definepixel and good luck for the contest!
  5. Hi all! So here's my latest render. You can find the concept here: http://www.zenkaya.com/index.htm and the picture I take as reference: So it's a kind of "ready made" house, here's the Lightwave render: and a link to an higher resolution: http://img42.imageshack.us/img42/7214/zenkaya.jpg Comments and crits more than welcome!
  6. And indeed I've done a PS mask only for the roof, cause automatic color correction in PS give me nothing, no changes, when I tried it on the whole picture. But If I applied automatic color correction to the roof, it really push up the white. That's why I've now this bright roof, I was thinking that with a bright sun it would be fine...and maybe fit that cartoonish mood given by the grass...It's crazy how 5 minutes in post could completly change a picture you have work on during 2 days in 3D apps. sancheuz, thank you! The lake of lower rail didn't disturb me when modelling...I'll take some more references pictures next time I think. For the trees yes, I completely agree, for now I focus mainly on the house render and I give a lot less time to the environment (nature in 3D is really sometimes a nightmare), another thing I have to learn for the next picture! thank you BVI, the tiles are modeled and then put on roof with an automated tool (lwcad)
  7. Hi all! Here's another house, victorian style, render with Lightwave. Grass is FiberFX (Lightwave hair and fur system...I know it's not really realistic on this picture, but this illustration look is not too bad I think ). I guess that trees could be better integrated...and maybe that fences on foreground are distracting from the house...but well hope you still like it Here is the reference picture I took: And a link to the high resolution render: http://img96.imageshack.us/img96/320/victorianhouse.jpg Comments and crits more than welcome!
  8. Thank you all for replying! I know I'm in the finished thread but with all the comments I wanted to made a (very) final one. So here's with no DOF at all, softer shadows (compare to the first one), and a smaller car. Thank you again for all the comments! http://img638.imageshack.us/img638/9040/housecorrection2.jpg
  9. Thank you for feedback guys! I've seen where I've posted the picture, cause I was pretty sure to be done with it...next time I will go to the wip section I've done some levels adjustments in PS by the way, but maybe it's burning some area, so the solution could be in increasing the radiosity intensity or the number of secondary bounces. http://img198.imageshack.us/img198/340/finaljs2.jpg But well, this is a finished version so I'm not going to troll this forum section, next time I'll pay more attention to the light, thank you again for your advices!
  10. Thank you for taking some time to work on braddewald, I like the way you push up the light (and particularly the mood you give to the gras) indeed it gives back some details in dark areas you're right
  11. Hi all! Still working on architectural render (just personal work), this one is a very humble work; I mean the reference pic is not very "interesting", but it allow me to learn. http://img9.imageshack.us/img9/2697/finaljs.jpg Not the picture of the week, but it's coming slowly:
  12. So here's an other version, less photoshop corrections but higher radiosity intensity and DPinfinite light instead of the classic distant light. Dof is now fixed to respect LW dof (but I'm not too fond with the grainy dof of LW) http://img8.imageshack.us/img8/8743/housecorrectionlow.jpg and here's a link to the high resolution: http://img8.imageshack.us/img8/7141/housecorrection.jpg Still not perfect, but I'm done with this picture, thank you again for your adivices!
  13. Thank for comment andstef, I'll render this one again...indeed the original is less bright(but the shadows are sharp), the bright lightning is made in compositing. Dof is painted and I'll have a try to render it with dof directly. I'll try to put some "random" in the grass to...thank
  14. Here's a new architectural picture, still in need to progress Low resolution: http://img153.imageshack.us/i/houselow.jpg/ High resolution: http://img192.imageshack.us/img192/2391/housevx.jpg (Sorry I still can't post direct links) Comments and crits are welcome!
  15. Thank you for reply Flavius I guess I have some things to learn about reflections...for the sofa, I have this one with a "studio" lightning: http://img194.imageshack.us/img194/3234/sofastudio1.jpg (beware of the flying sofa!), not perfect but the leather texture is more present than on my picture (mostly because I don't have direct light on it, I have to learn how to do that). But I often increase the blurry parameter as soon as I have reflection, should be a nice idea to look the render with more sharpen reflexions you're right. On next one I'll try to put some extra lights in the windows area too, good advice! And for the carpet, I'm not too fond with Lightwave hair and fur system (at least for this scene in which it drive me nuts), so I guess next time I'll give a try with displacement. Anyway thank you for feedback and comment, they'll be helpfull for the next one! Christophe
