  2. I have been using Vray for a while now... but i am very new to post-production. i use photoshop mainly for post. This is a image i have been trying to develop for a while now.. but i don't seem to convince myself as it looks so fake and colourful... Can anyone suggest me ways to improve my output ... may it be even changing my render setting if i have to .... thanks Nandan
  3. Hello eveyone Here is this project i am working on for last two weeks, its an apartment here in Nepal. I rendered this image using 3ds Max 2011 x64 and Vray sp1 but i am unable to produce a nice realistic output with a mood. I used Vray Sun and Vray dome light with a very high quality HDri but as u see below output doesn't look good. i have tried so many ways even changing hdris, tried direct light source, adjusted vray camera etc. So plz any of you guys can provide me suggestions i will be very thankful to you. plz help me.
  4. I am trying to make a vray glass material for a aluminum glass partition and there is also requirement of some kind of sticker to be pasted on to the glass... i don't know how to make it. Also i tried vray blend material... it works but i am getting all sort of problems in my rendering may be its because it isn't supposed to be used for this purpose or i don't how use it .... plz help me out...
  5. VRay Plane Light is Visible in reflections even tho it is set to invisible !! HELP !! I have placed number of Vray lights on the ceiling and its being reflected on the glass panels next to it even tho i have set its property to invisible. Plz help me how to hide it in reflections. - Nandan
  6. Thanks for the reply. Well I check task manager every time I render any scene of every project and in every case i found it was using only 3 GB ram. May be is there something to do with vray settings ?
  7. Well I am using 3ds max 2011 with XP x64 and when i render a scene ... i checked the task manager now and then ..... the computer is using only 3 GB ram where as I computer has 6 GB ram ..... Is it possible to make use of more than 3 gb ram ? If yes then will using more ram render my scene faster ? Help guys

I am trying to render an exterior scene with Vray .... but really don't know the best way to approach an exterior scene with vray .... is it the HDRI or ... using IES lights, sunlight or vray sun ..... If anyone could just give me some suggestions regarding this .... or provide me with helpful links it would be great ...... so plz do help me with what u know. Nandan Tamrakar - Thank you
  10. Thankx everyone a lot for the help but .... if poor GI is the issue than why is rest of the scene looks alright ? why only the ceiling looks bad ??? Can u also kindly answer this ? - Thank you
  11. I have rendered this image using Vray Rc 1.5 in 3ds max 2009 The problem is I am getting wired smuggie shades in the ceiling corners... i really don't know why its appearing ..... Can anyone plz help me solve this problem ... I have attached the image below..PLZ help
