  1. You will need to buy individual rendernode license for each computer. And each machine needs to be able to access the same folders. For example, I share my E: drive (which contains my projects, textures etc) on my host computer then 'map' this drive on the rendernode machines, that way they all can access it.
  2. I have to say I like the birds eye view shot, almost makes me feel like its an actual built model set What trees are you using for the shot?
  3. yeah cleaning up clients models is a rabbit hole you dont want to go down, I use them as a way to guide to remodel, so i dont have to keep looking at the plans etc. Just try and get your workflow as efficient as possible, get some kitset pieces ready to reuse if thats possible.
  4. ah of course, im guessing its to do with the NZ high court ruling and injunction....
  5. Anyone else from New Zealand getting this message when trying to access the fstorm website? "Forbidden - Visitors from your country are not permitted to browse this site." weird.
  6. so you dont find the speed of the hardrives an issue, compared to SSD drives?
  7. Hey let us know how it goes with this setup, speed etc...sounds pretty nice
  8. 1. What are your render settings? Especially the color mapping mode setting 2. Are you using the correct linear workflow? 3. Are you rendering in vray's VFB and is the 'display colors in RGB' set correctly? 4. Have you set up a physical camera? Orange tint could mean your camera settings are different. 5. Are they any changes to the hdr maps 'overall and render multipliers'? I would compare their scene settings to check.
  9. well yes it definitely depends on what you are doing but i would hazard a guess that quite a lot of people don't require 24 gig of vram, and with some serious work being completed with GPU renderers currently, along with potential advancement with real time etc, its worth thinking about when spending a bit of cash. Either way the answer should always be based on what you require.
  10. Also have you weighed up the price of a GPU based workstation? I'm kind of wishing i hadnt bought 2 i7 rendermachines and instead bought a GPU solution. Just a thought
  11. Hi Jeff, thanks for reply much appreciated. I have emailed you explaining my request.
  12. Hi, I was wondering. I have tried to contact cg architect about some forum issues numerous times now but have never received a response. Is this usual? Just wondering if there's a reason i don't know about? thx
  13. are all your textures able to be accessed by the renderfarm?
