    Radiosity

HELP!!! I'm struggling a bit with setting up an interior scene with radiosity. I want to get as realistic an image as I can (obviously), but not sure on the use of radiosity. Could anyon send me a scene that they have performed sucessful radiosity on so I can explore the settings? Or a good tutorial would be good. I'm using MAX 7.
  2. Perfect. That does the job nicely. Thanks!
  3. Tried both of those suggestions. Cant get the first one to work from some reason and the second, well, I have planes that need to be invisible to the camera, then turn to face the camera, but even with a camera like that, you can still see the planes when they are supposed to be invisible. Thanks though.
  4. I am creating a logo for my business in max, because I need to animate it. The front viewport is perfect for displaying the logo for rendering, etc, but I need a way to lock the viewport so I dont accidentally zoom or pan. I have tried putting a camera in, but there is always the impression of perspective, which I want to completely avoid. Any suggestions?
  5. But can anyone tell me if I have put together a good spec or not? Am I missing a key component or using something that wont work as well as something else?
  6. Hi guys. I can see this has been covered before, but I have written a spec for a renderfarm which I intend to build for work. Please rip my spec to shreds and tell me any problems I might have or any better equipment you might suggest. 7. Some of you may have seen this at various stages in the WIP section, but now its complete. I'm pretty pleased with it but no doubt I'll (gladly) get some (constructive) critisism here! All in the name of development
  8. Its looking a bit better now. Just a few more tweaks and its there. Please feel free to comment whether its positive or negative.
  9. I still need to tweak it a bit to prevent it from 'leaning', and yes it is standing on a car at the moment. I still have to edit that out. I'm still trying to decide whether to model a new road and pavement in max or to use the original photo. Any suggestions?
  10. This is an image I am creating for a client. It is obviously not finished, but I'm just checking with you guys to see if you think the perspective is OK. I had to use two photos stitched together, and as a result I couldnt match the 3D camera to the real one. My solution was to map the buildings at the sides onto planes so the perspective is in keeping with the 3D camera. What do you think?
  11. Thanks for the replies. I'll have to figure out what I'm worth!
  12. Hi y'all. This is my first photo composite. Comments welcome!
  13. I was wondering if anyone here could give me an idea of hourly charge for 3D architectural visualisation in London? I have done a search but I can't find anything.
