  1. Best I can think of is FILLET radius, but you can't select multiple objects at once - you would have to select a CHAIN of edges. It would work though.
  2. Do a forum search - there have been many threads on the topic in the past.
  3. try two things... 1.) change your visual style to 2D wireframe and see if that still pops up. 2.) turn off PERSPECTIVE (0) - it's a system variable. Not 100% sure, but I think that happened to me before when doing renderings in Autocad once.
  4. If you are a student at an Autodesk associated school, you can actually get an educational version for free for 3 years now. Not sure if that helps. 30 days is probably not enough to become proficient, but if you immerse yourself in it, you could learn quite a bit. maybe take a course somewhere and take advantage of the 3 year license ?
  5. nice work - good lighting / good mood. welcome.
  6. James - I agree with all your suggestions and they make sense to me, but I don't understand this bit. Why would you need to reset Mental Ray ?
  7. i am a man of leisure at this time of year, so i'm probably available when you all decide. i'd keep it more downtown though...and possibly get over the love affair with 'corduroy' james.
  8. nicely done - you've really studied the house carefully (i like how you chose the same angle as the reference photos). good lighting, good materials...good renders. how about the exterior courtyard and the pond ?
  9. Love Cuba, love Havana...one of my all time favorite cities. Welcome aboard.
  10. Really nice , Paul - you've captured the mood of the house and its location perfectly. Might be nice to swing the camera over to the other side of the pool, so you can see a little more of the depth of the house and have more of the pool reflecting in the foreground. Great job.
  11. i'm no photoshop wizard, but just five minutes playing around with the lighting, and i think i've injected a little more mood into the rendering. hope you don't mind...
  12. too bright in the foreground, and too dark/cold in the background (especially from the city lights by the window). maybe try and add a bit more mood by darkening the scene and letting the glow of the city reflect into the space.
  13. lighting / DOF / materials / modeling - everything works. nice project.
