  1. Youre thinking too much mate....go grab a duvel
  2. You can only polish a turd so far.....and you're pretty much at the limit there mate.
  3. If someone asked me to do that in two days I'd tell them they had two hopes.... Bob and No. That is just crazy work and they should pay dearly for it
  4. Interesting....I've not seen anyone do a Prince design and I'm now pissed at myself for not thinking of it.
  5. very nice...I like fotosktcher....the only gripe I have is converging walls
  6. Unless you're close up then a bitmap and a alpha map is more than sufficient. If you're close up then I'd model it mate
  7. Post at the fryrender forum you'll get far more information faster there as there aren't a lot of fry users here to my knowledge.
  8. nice images.....but it wouldnt stay like that very long with my kids in there
  9. Very nice images mate. I think the second is more convincing than the first though. Are you now freelance again ?
  10. Because most of my work is modelling for people who do renderings I'm in a bit of a niche. As a freelancer, I do my best to keep everyone happy. If this means staying up all night because I have multiple concurrent deadlines then so be it. I have been fortunate so far in that every relationship I've had with people they keep coming back. With the way the economy is at the moment, anyone who throws a gig my way gets the 5 star treatment. I'm just hoping for more to come.
  11. I might be wrong here but I believe stamp uses a offset whereas drape will match your outline. I'd try using drap and go get youtself the joint push pull ruby script and you'll be able to pull the areas correctly in the Z axis.
  12. The first thing is, can you read and understand architectural drawings? I know people who are very good at modelling and rendering but cant read a drawing so as far as arch vis goes they're stuffed. I'm sure I'll get flack on this but to be any good at arch vis, you need to be able to understand the design concept from the information your given and if it's not clear, be able to interpret it if you cant get a clear answer. This isn't something you'll pick up attending a course (imho). Anyone can model a simple house, but to understand the nuance of the design and pay attention to the details takes someone who knows a reasonable amount of the subject. I know some great artists who's works get lauded all over the internet but things like scale are all over the place. To finish, no I'm not some hacked off renderer wannabe.
  13. you need to specify what it is you want from a render...everyone here is just guessing mate
