Hi Paul, thanks.. it's funny, it's the second time that people try to "rebuild" this image... anyway, it's always an honor, i am happy you do so ! ... appart from this i don't know why, but i don't really like my image ! maybe the perspective and the view angle... You did a great start ! but in my opinion.. some proportions issues.. it's not that mine are perfect, of course.. but you can improve some of them in your image. by the way, i really like the floor you did ! cheers, Olivier

.. oh ja, .. , in paris you will find also the ice-bar, seems to be a pretty cool place, at least from what i have heard. I think it is situated near the 19th ( arrondissement).. basicelly, you need to wear a thick coat and you drink vodka in an ice-glass... --- edit and forget the picture i have posted, that was the mood, today in paris... but tomorrow, the last demonstration.... was hard to find croissants chauds today in paris.. joking !

5 challenges were making it Big.. but it was good in a way. I kind of like it how it was. Also remenber some nights working on it listening music. Everytimes, now i hear the same music, i remenber, " That's the music of AVC " ahah.. anyway was a great time. Is there maybe a way that the competitors all design the same "building" ? both for animation and the still.. Then they have the same base.. and the critic will be concentrate on "how they show this". I had sometimes the feeling that, last year, because the architecture was good or not.. this was influencing the result ( of course..) you know what i mean. Or maybe is to rigid this proposition... Also i see the question was raised few post before... sorry..

The reason why i also found this interesting is that this work ( matte painting) has a lot of links with architectural visualization. Maybe, as Ernest said, it is a different approach.. but still you feel that there is something in common, obviously not only the technic, even if they are a bit different. But the final result is to show a setup, a atmosphere.. a vision ... and it must interesting to work out some architectural visualization as a matte painting... But my guess is that this has to be done in collaboration with the architect, and matte painting is not really in their mind...
