  1. Hello, seems the problem gone away - I wont understand why; I ve reloaded the Vray1.5SP3 64bit file from chaos, launched again and.... it's fine; thanks both of You, bye Piotr
  2. hi, thanks for getin involved; well, Yes, I proceed it as an administrator; all programmes are legal; no, I didn't cotact chaos nor the local dealer - want to make sure first; after installing v-ray on 3 dedicated locations the sudden info appears: "An error occured during the installation.Do you want to undo chnges made to your system?" This is the end - no questions ab the dongle etc... Have any of You had similar perturbations? ( Iam a legal v-ray user for ab 3 years; just changed the workstation...)
  3. hello, I ve just installed windows7, max2010, and than - failed several times with installing V-ray 1.5 SP3. Is it problem of compability?
  4. OK, I ve red some previous posts in this matter - thanks cdarchitect forum! the solution is: to reduce "3d deviation for 3d solids" in the file-link initial window AND IT WORKS:) P
  5. Hi everyone my problem is quite simle ( as the solution, I suppose): I prepare models in Acad and link 'em with viz on the example attached You may see the circle-shaped head of the bed that becomes the polygon in viz what shall I do to avoid polygons and smoothen this? Piotr
  6. Mohammed, as I've mentioned, I have studied help file and, of course "Use Scene Material Definitions" and "Use Scene Material Assignments on Reload" functions are ON with the very first linking.... and there's still a problem any other idea? Piotr
  7. Hi everybody the problem is: I have recently upgraded my Viz to 2008 version as well as recent Vray I have a big problem with linking *dwg files from Acad - I can't reload my file without missing my materials definitions on reload - I have already studied viz help file ab reloading quite long , but it seems to me there's some other problem involved. Do anyone of You have faced same problem? Is ther any solution? I ll appreciate quick response Piotr
  8. Dear Padhia, wouldn't it be far more kind to recomend some free tutorials for beginners right here? well, maybe that's the way this business is rolling.... free good stuff for very beginners: http://www.aversis.be/extra_tutorials/00.htm or I ll rather start a new thread...
  9. Hello, very interesting post guys, I am just wondering: if vray is so genious /spectacular GI tool, so WHY so many people have so many problems using it? and why everybody newcoming to it is looking for clear convincing tutorials inspite of chaosgroup help/forum page? I also use vray and noone ever has taught me in simple words how to use this tool step by step, although I paid for it, didnt't I?. good luck
  10. Greg Hess: thx again by the way - what would be Y choice 2x 600CS sli or one 7800 GTX 512Mb ? for big resolutions P
  11. thx v much for comments Guys, of course I need it for 3d/cad performance together with Athlon 64 2X 4400+ and Asus A8N32Sli De Luxe; recently I gave up with buing second-hand quadro1400 ( v cheap but no software included), hoping to add twin Sli card soon; 7800 GTX 512Mb seems overpriced, by now approx. 700 $ here I ll be grateful for other comments
