  1. Studio/Institution: Freelancer Genre: Residential Exterior Software: 3ds Max, Vray, Photoshop Description: I need some critique guys. How is the lighting? Too overexposed?
  2. I'm using Vray 3.00.03. along with 3ds Max 2014 (service packs updated) Do you guys experience 8-12 seconds of freeze or hangup after each test render? Using Vray Frame Buffer by the way. It's driving me mad!!!
  3. Guys, I'm having issues with the way vray is rendering glass. This is an exterior scene (architectural). I'm using a very basic glass material on all my windows. The problem is that anything that is behind a window gets extremely distorted. I even tried starting a new clean file/scene and I'm still having the same problem. What am I doing wrong here?
  4. Hi guys. I need your assistance on this one. I'm trying to create a dusk scene for an architecturual exterior. Here is my situation... 1. I'm using an HDRI as a primary light source. 2. I have setup 10 Instanced Vray Plane lights inside the model. 3. When I try to use a Vray IES Flood Light to accent the exterior of the house, I get noise and what looks like different color mapping where the light hits the structure. 4. When I turn off all the interior lights, I get no noise. I've attached some pictures so you may see. I'm using Vray 3.00.03 and Max 2014 SP5
  5. I think you should explore different angles so the building does not appear to be a scale model. Also try using vray sun with some vray proxy trees. The current landscaping looks too "cut and paste"
  6. I feel like a moron having to submit this post and I thought I knew how to LOFT and/or sweep...but apparently not. I'm having a lot of "pinching" when I generate certain shapes with loft or sweep. Its always around corners where linear meets radius as you can see below. Are there "rules" to lofting that I'm not following?. Does this have to do with my vertices (which are all welded by the way) Please someone help. Thanks
  7. I'm new to Vray and this giant project has kicked my ass..but I've learned a lot. Love the work I've seen on this site...would appreciate some feedback..thanks guys
  8. would appreciate any c&c guys...thanks
  9. I used the ink'n paint material in max to get the "illustrated" look for the house...curious to see what finaltoon can do for next project. I tried to break everything down into layers....did a lot of photoshop work (landscaping). I'm new at architectural visualization...so please guys..any c&c would be helpful. Thanks!
  10. Let me know what you guys think. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated...thanks (3ds max 7, photoshop)
