  1. Jeff thank you so much for pages 3-52! This article is one of the best I've read and helped me a lot to understand the procedure.Unfortunately I had to go baby steps and read it again and again until one day I got myself a nice spyder pro.Complaints about color differences have reduced to a minimum!Of course there are some clients out there with very bad monitor settings but you can't beat them all at once
  2. Hello Pete I find myself in a similar situation but instead I'm a 3ds user. Recently two friends of mine used one of those two services you have mentioned-I'm not going to say a name as I don't know if it is appropriate- and they were very disappointed. A large number of frames came back blacked out and there was no support, to guide them through in order to solve this issue. Anyway I believe that there are many, smaller size, render farms out there with lots of experience and more friendly customer approach. I'm still looking for one though! Will let you know if I find anything
  3. Does anyone know if there is a way to work with modifying wall sweeps?Just like walls to trim extend etc thank you in advance
  4. I just discovered this section...so excited. These are two photos from my last trip, to a place named Pilio in Greece. We stayed at a friend's house, so this is where I decided to go creative.Hope you like them
  5. Did a project for nigeria almost a year ago.Had the same problem. If it is an animation I would suggest to go for generic material walking people. Now if it is still you can always photoshop them.Another solution is combine psd in after effects and make small camera movements. It works great.Since money is always a problem for small companies I would suggest to look at autodesk's project geppeto!which is a free app for 3ds 2012.So could have your very own walking people for free...Now the other option I know is by axyz which is called anime! and at the price of around 300usd you can have your own set of walking people.Hope I helped
  6. Yeap same thing here.As long as the pdf is exported from cad.If it is a scanned pdf then you will have problems translating it to cad.But the process is the same
  7. Great work and great tuts.well done
  8. you can also use sketchup furniture!
  9. Ok you got a guy from squint opera here so I would recommend to stick with his comments! Here is my experience 1.output to sequence as tga 2.do the post of each seq in after effects 3.then using adobe dynamic link you can do the editing in premiere along with a track of your choice
  10. May I recommend to add some dof?other than that well done
  11. well done!my only comments are for the lights on the right wall. Are you using ies lights?
  12. Have you tried unwrapping and painting your own textures?I believe it would be faster and you ll be more happy with the result. Then apply a vray displacement modifier
