  1. Hi All, Just a quick post to let you all know of my High Quality 3D Trees & plants that are designed for Archviz and are prepared for Vray renderer. They are created using the awesome GowFX plugin by Exlevel, and you are able to purchase them as a parametric file. When purchasing our GrowFX models as a parametric file, you will be able to change any part of the model to suit your specific needs. Models are para-metrically generated and therefore have the ultimate flexibility of a system that you have complete control over. Most species have approx 4-7 unique models covering different ages, forms & colours so that you have a complete production solution. We also have a wish list section where you can let us know of species you would like to see us create. Please let me know if you have any questions. Kind regards Jamie Kerr 3DMK - Treeline
  2. Hi All, Just a quick post to let you all know about my online Tree/plant models. We have been online for approx a year now & have many satisfied customers. http://www.3dmk.com.au/ 3DMK - TREELINE It’s not just a high-quality model, it’s a complete production solution! Following years of research into creating 3D flora models, 3dmk is proud to introduce Treeline – the new benchmark for photo-realistic digital plants & trees. Our absolute attention to detail results in models that not only look far better than any other, but are truer to species form. Treeline flora models are based on accurate tree and plant taxonomy, which helps deliver the most authentic results.Drawing on over 10 years of professional Archviz experience, all Treeline models are designed to perform at the highest level & under the heaviest of production environments. Treeline is committed to 3D models of the highest quality, versatility and flexibility. When purchasing our GrowFX models, you will be able to change any part of the model to suit your specific needs. Models are parametrically generated and therefore have the ultimate flexibility of a system that you have complete control over. Most species have approx 4-5 unique models covering different ages, forms & colours so that you have a complete production solution. 3dmk – Treeline models are created using the award winning software GrowFX from Exlevel. As GrowFX models are para-metrically generated, you have easy access to change or modify all parts of the model. Everyone’s production needs are different and with GrowFX you can change the model to suit your specific needs, over & over again. We realize that not everyone has access to GrowFX so we also sell an FBX version for most of our models although they are a static mesh & not parametric. The 3dsMax mesh version is also a static mesh. A valid license for GrowFX is needed to use our Parametric GrowFX models Thanks for your time Kind regards Jamie
  3. Well Roberts...aren't you full of happy beans today!! Is there a point to all this??? If so then you may want to re-do your post as I don't really see any point yet? Other than to be negative for the sake of it. Cheers
  4. Wow...how do you sleep at night???? Worrying about everything so much.....when as mentioned by Tommy the client is most likely going to change everything.[and all that grey hair will be for nothing] What's more important than any technical aspect is simply....does it look right.....but then again there is no right or wrong with art so really anything goes. Endless worrying also takes away every ounce of artist in you.....the less you worry & just do what you think...the better off you will be. Hope this helps
  5. The answers would be as varied as the projects we work on....and the clients we work with.
  6. Lens flare are like drugs.......use them properly & you will get a pleasant feeling......use them unwisely & you'll end up in jail....lol
  7. How bout 3D scientist??? Now that sounds important!! [Or a complete Wa#k] lol Most of the programs we use require a high level of scientific understanding. What about Light physician or Photon manipulator Science titles sound way cool...sort of like super hero stuff ... but for real!! Anyway as long as people start paying us more money I don't care if they call me a fool!
  8. There are lots of ways you can do it in post. My preference is to use a plugin called Optical Flares in After effects. Simply save your V-ray SELF ILLUMINATION render pass & get the plugin to use the luminence value of the render pass. [This method works best with 32bit image formats] Or an even more precise way is to use Max to AE plugin which can export the actual lights to AE in 3D space. The pugin will then take into account the actual distance from camera & light intensity to create much better flares....you may need to create a mask in vray to tell the plugin when the lights goes behind an object **You may run into problems using Scanline or Mental ray to generate flares if you are using Vray proxies as they won't recognise them. Hope this helps
  9. For this sort of noise you are going to need to set your Irradiance Map subdivisions so high you may as well just tell your kids to do the post on your image because you might be passed on by then....lol BUT there is a quick and easy solution.....Go to the Irradiance tab and check the DETAIL ENHANCEMENT check-box. This feature was implimented for this particular problem. It will cause BRUTE FORCE to be performed on these sort of details to solve the problem, whilst using Irradiance for the rest of the scene Set it to world scale at about 50 mm & you should be fine. Cheers
  10. lazyness!! I also did this a little while ago when I didn't really do any post....probably because I didn't know how.... I do a bit of post on my images these days...especially now I render to 32bit images. Cheers
  11. Thanks for all the comments everyone!! I appreciate the negative as much as the positive so don't be afraid to say what you think! Regarding the DOF The image was produced using Vray physical camera - with real world SLR camera settings, so that the blurring produced by the Camera depth of field is physically correct and natural looking. If you were to place a real-world SLR camera in exactly the same position with exactly the same settings you would get exactly the same blurring as in this render. [thanks to the brilliant coders at VRay] It may look unnatural to some people after comparing it to so many CGI renders that are faked using a Z-depth buffer, thus producing a certain style of un-natural blurring. please be aware that I am not against this type of artistic DOF, it's just that I was looking for a physically correct result, to enhance the photorealism of the render. Regarding the darkness I agree that it is probably a little too dark! thanks for those comments! materials [Jason Matthews] The material on the circular window frames is a simple VRay material with a diffuse Value of about 60 and reflection value of about 140. The specular highlights are also anisotropic to of value of 8.5. which is what causes the streaking effect. thanks again all for your comments! Cheers
  12. The reason it's blured is because it has Vray Physical Camera - DOF......the way it would in a real life camera Cheers
  13. Have a look at this awesome & FREE plugin for max. You can do lot's & lots of different things with this http://www.guruware.at/main/ivy/index.html Cheers
