  1. Still working on this concrete material. Any feedback is welcome.
  2. There is a good article that might help you: http://bertrand-benoit.com/blog/2015/01/07/the-photographic-look/
  3. Much better. Great improvement by using the 16:9 resolution. One additional question: are you using a correct scale for the sofa? It looks really big for the living room.
  4. I think your scene could benefit from using a wider angle, which in turns give you more space to show the room and work better with the composition.
  5. What is the camera lens that you are using? And are you using a procedural map for sofa?
  6. Many thanks philippelamoureux I am working on a concrete shader for the exterior wall, but I think I overused leaks and dirt. Hopefully I will post some images today.
  7. Studio/Institution: Personal Genre: Other Software: 3ds Max + Corona Description: Hi everyone, Quick introduction: my background in 3D is more related with character animation and real-time technology (like Lumion). I have some experience in Arch Viz, but I really want to improve substantially my knowledge and techniques. So, now I am working on an Energy Centre building, as you can see from the images attached. Any feedback and critic is more than welcomed. My interest right now is the individual pieces. I am also working on the concrete material.
  8. Thanks Matt. Yes, I would add some people on post-production process and perhaps a car too. Thanks John for the tip. I opened the gate just to add some "life" or at least try, but is interesting that concept of the eye search for an exit. So technically if I close the gate I am blocking the exit and eventually the final image will give a claustrophobic sense? I am not too sure what you mean on the second part but I suppose it means that I need to increase more the contrast so the facing building can be more perceived? I am "struggling" with client with this situation, because I too agree that it would be good for the final render. It's funny how someone says: I want a realistic render, but you can not do this or that. Thank you too George. As I said, this is just the raw render, so in the end as you said I will work on the sky, shadows and add more contrast. I know it looks strange the wall goes right down the street, but the client wants this way. Just finishing some details and I will post a new render. Thanks for your help, Ciro
  9. Studio/Institution: N\A Genre: Commercial Exterior Software: 3ds Max, Sketchup & Vray Description: Hi everyone, this is my first post although I am following this forum for some time. Any way this is a work I am doing and I would like to ask for your opinion. I did just a raw render, so no post-production yet but I would like to have another couple of eyes to tell me what can I change to achieve a more realistic feeling. I have some restrictions, for example I have to use the concrete block to represent another building and I can not change the camera angle. Looking forward for hearing your critics. Cheers, Cyrus
  10. Thank you guys for the feedback. I don't know if the wrinkles or the smudges will be noticed in the furniture, because of the camera distance. The shelves already have an bump map. The idea of turning on the TV and add some reflections seems a good idea to me I will try it. To be honest with you aaronmolina, I didn't thought much the rules of composition, I was more focus in get good renders. But what you think about this new shot? I changed the camera zoom factor to the normal. Thanks Andrew. I gonna applied your tip by adding a slight bump to the walls. Thank you Roodogg too. But I already added AO and CC in Photoshop but I will try to turn on some interior lights. Thank you guys for the feedback and the tips.

Studio/Institution: Personal Client: Personal Genre: Residential Interior Software: Maya + Vray Website: http://www.cirocardoso.net Description: Hi, this is my second project using Maya and V-ray. I did try to do something a little more complex and try to achieve thean photo-realistic look, however there is something missing. I'm not quite happy with this final result. So, any critics and feedback are welcome. Thanks in advance for any help. Cheers, Ciro
