  1. Hi. I would like to create a sun study animation of a building. Anyone knows of a video tutorial for making such a animation.?
  2. Thank you all. That really helped me a lot to understand the differences. Chris, could you post one of your images where you have used this solution.?
  3. Ok. Thanks. The reason why I ask this is because many people speaks of brute as the wrong choice, because of crazy render times. But Peter Oldorf speaks about using this method to his advantage in his very nice looking night render. Seen here: http://www.ronenbekerman.com/making-of-tomczak-house/
  4. Hi. I am a little confused about when to use brute force and when not to use it.? I am specially thinking about still images. Can you give me some good advice when to use this with advantage.
  5. Hi Chris. Ok. So what you say is that it works flawlessly on the vray engine.? I have just read that backburner is good for animations and the vray dist. render is good for stills. But you don't have the feature to send a way a job with the vray dist. render. So therefore in my eyes it sounds like it is very good for doing both parts. I mean it is nice you can ship away a finished job, and then be working on the next one meanwhile it renders in backburner. It is because I am thinking about investing in a renderpro from Boxx. And I would just like to know all there is to consider before doing the investment.
  6. The HP 8770w is way more expensive than the Dell m6700 with a Quadro K4000 card. I think it is about 1800-2000$ more you haft to pay with almost the same specs.
  7. Hi. I would like to know something about using backburner with vray. Any guys out there having some good advice. I have been using vray distributed rendering until now, but I would like the option to queue jobs and also send a job to somewhere else besides my main working computer. I have no experience what so ever with backburner, and I would like to hear your advices.? Thanks in advance.
  8. Hi Doug What is the graphics card included in you new machine.? Was it a Goboxx 1850.?
  9. I think maybe I Will go for a m6700. Dell is willing to give good offer besides the already discount. So I think I Will Be heading for a model with quadro 4000.
  10. The only issue I have with Boxx is that the company is mostly present in US and Canada. So I am a little concerned with support/service. What about Dell M6700, is there a setup which would be good.? I can see that these computers only have Quadro cards and not Geforce cards. How will this be, if is this computer should be a mobile replacement for a desktop. I think I am going to do a lot of rendering on this image. The quadro cards, is this not only advantage if I use the Vray RT.?? I don't use Vray RT that much, maybe 10% of the time.
  11. I have thought about this one. http://www.fcomputer.dk/computer/b%C3%A6rbar/msi/gt70-0ne-468ne-16gb-core-i7-17.3%E2%80%B3-gf-gtx680m-4gb-b%C3%B8rstet-metal-sort.html So I guess this will be a good choice too.??
  12. I am going to buy a mobile workstation. With a lot of power for 3ds max and Vray. Which laptop would you suggest. I have read about Dell's m6700 and MSI GT70 laptops. But don't know which configuration would be a good desktop replacement. I don't know if I should buy a laptop with quadro cards. Please give me some good advice.
  13. Hi Jimenez Chaosgroup solved my problem gaining control over my PC, to see the problem. I think the problem was something with, rights, administrator settings or something like that. I think it was a bug in the software which will be corrected in future releases.
  14. no I am using "hair and fur". I will try it out. Thanks.
