  3. Yes, they have Revit, they are a contractor who specialize in cost analysis and scheduling. They presently do not have 3D talent in house. Aparently no one has.......
  4. Do they not have a group health care package?? I would be interested in that.
  5. Have anyone out there created a BIM model for a client to hand over once the model is initially created?? We have a construction client who do not want to get into the 3D aspect but are willing to outsource the modeling until they get the talent in house. I am curious to what issues you might have run into. Materials standards, libraries....ect. thanks,
  6. carzy, how big is your farm? 10+?
  7. here is a good start: http://www.rethinkfx.com/tutorials/texture.htm bit outdated, but still a great book. http://www.peachpit.com/store/product.aspx?isbn=0735713863 there are tutorials in max help as well.
  8. yes simple right click in Premiere. If you have Adobe Bridge, it has a nice batch re-name feature.
  9. agree, this is the same thing as DVD+R and DVD-R while back. HP was the first to offer a dual format burner cheap (around $300) LG (and Toshiba I think) already have dual format HD players. You can get it today from Crutchfield. We went with blu-ray since that is what Adobe is currently supporting. We have no other way of authoring a DVD here for under $4000, so blu-ray is the winner at our location... for now. I am guessing future burners and authoring programs will be dual format then all this will be moot. It is exactly what happened when DVD first came out.
  10. http://3dcadbrowser.com/ also http://www.3d02.com but they look similar to turbosquid.com
  11. great on and off road: http://www.garmin.com/products/gpsmap60cx/
  12. They look like they are planning something.... something not good.....
  13. We created one for a public tv pilot a while back. First designed the set, then we shot the video, then tweaked the background for our camera perspective & lighting. At the time, the local cable company could only accept beta tapes, so we exported the final video to MiniDV. Took MiniDV to a video company to convert to Beta. This was years ago, so likely formats have changed, and I am guessing the transportation process is easier to stay digital. Get to know the place you plan on broadcasting at, or find a video post company who can help.
  14. Is that new with 9? I am currently running 16 slaves with Max8 (no 3rd party, no mr)
