    Anything you do will increase your rendering times, but I'd start with increasing the refection subdivisions for the material in question.

    That's the dynamic UCS which can be turned off with F6.

    I agree with Jeff. I use Vegas at home for personal stuff and Premiere at work. I prefer Vegas.

    What is the trick to not killing your render times with motion blur on. I'd love to use, but it just seem to take waaaaay to long to render.

    I've got a FormZ model from 2003 that I've been asked to update. I don't have FormZ and the 30 day demo doesn't allow saving or exporting. Would anyone with FormZ be willing to open this file and save it as .dwg or .3ds?

    That path sounds correct. I'm using mine with SP3 so I know it's compatible. Try dragging the .mcr file and dropping it into max. Not sure if that will actually work, but it's worth a try.

    I've got an M6300 with XP64, 4GB RAM and Quadro 1600M. I've never had a problem with it. Only thing I don't like about this laptop is even though it has a 17" screen it doesn't have the separate number pad on the keyboard, even though there is room for it.
