  1. Hi Nildo Yup, I was going to see if there was any interest and then contact chaos group to start the process. All above board and done properly. Thanks Mark. PM Nildo with an offer and then we can take it from there. I will contact Chaos in the meantime anyway. Cheers
  2. I am looking to sell my license of VRay 3.0 (no nodes, just workstation) along with the Phoenix FD plugin. Sensible offers would be appreciated.
  3. Hey guys, thanks for the comments To be fair the candles should probably cast a more erratic light on the tables ..... I added a hidden hemisphere with a self illuminated material on each candle......being lazy I instanced it.....I should have made some variations. AubreyM your point is totally valid and Ismael, thanks for having my back!!

  6. Gavin, yes sir!!! I will fix it the moment I am back at my pc! Thanasis, you are right on the mark too! ! I need to make the edges of the rug more rough and uneven. I will look at the sofa mapping to. I have to do some small animations of the spaces now. Going to be a bit of a render challenge with iRay perhaps?? I will post how it goes as they get rendered. 7. Hi Aubrey. Thank you for the kind words and comments. The kitchen scene was the longest and hardest to render. It took iRay aaaaaages to clear up. My machine also bombed several times, I clocked my gpu's at 96 degrees, no need for the heating to be on with that!! You are right about the cabinets. They are meant to be grey laminate Sent from my INQ Cloud Touch using Tapatalk
  8. Thanks Phil. Yeah the time is a little long but then the client wanted high quality and working in mentalray with a quick conversion over to iray was a far easier work flow than Octane which I was intending to use. I tried doing it all in mentalray but to be honest by the time I was going for the final output it was taking about 6 hours as well with the all the final gather bounces. I haven't tried Vray, I would love to but financial restraints are keeping me using MentalRay and iRay as they are free........sort of, minus the subscription costs each year
  9. Ah hell so it is I better update that and reissue to the client. Thanks Neil for pointing that out!

I used iRay with the mentalray sun and sky and photographic exposure. In addition to the daylight system I used hidden planes with a self illuminated material to enhance certain areas. Post work in photoshop includes the background and some adjustment of levels. Rendered at 4096 average 6 - 12 hours an image on 2 gtx 480's.
