  1. Thanks Gary! The scene was very helpful! I was doing ONE thing wrong! The window material! I was using a different type of material which reflected everything that was inside and did not allow the camera to see anything on the outside! And thank you all again for giving me your own personal advice and helping me fix the problem!!!
  2. Thank you all for you help! One thing that will surely do the job is to fix the scene with a plane outside the window accordingly to one camera and then fix the scene accordingly to another! Thank you all for your info! Will try and do my best and will post a render here so we can comment on the results!
  3. Thank you for the tip Tony! Will try it in my next scene! You havent answered to my problem, the problem here is adding background outside a window! Me explaining the way i light my scene is just to give you an idea of how my scene is set up! This is a render i made and i need a background image outside the windows but i cant find a way to put one! Adding a box and adding the bit map outside wont work because there are two windows, on the left and right wall and i need to have a back ground covering both windows so a box on one side and one on the other wont do because the picture would be the same outside both windows and thats illogical! http://bit.ly/wf04wd Thank you!
  4. Hello, I have always rendered my interior scenes night and daylight with no background outside the windows! The daylight scenes made the glass of the window white and the night scenes made the glass of the window black! Recently i tried adding a back ground outside the windows for example a view of a lake for a daylight scene but with no success in getting a nice render! Same for the night scenes, but with the night scenes i just got again the black window reflecting whats inside! The usual way i add background to a scene exterior and interior is, i make a tube around the scene and a sphere! It is the most common way i presume! I change the object properties of the sphere to not be visible to camera and the tube properties not to be visible in reflections! I always light my interior night scenes with photo metric lights and my interior daylight scenes with a daylight system! For materials to the glass of the window i use the ArchDesign SolidGlass (which i also tried using different glass materials to see if anything change but did not work). I tried many things many ways but none give me a nice render of a night view of a city outside the window, or a nice daylight view! If someone who has more experience give me some advice with this matter at hand! Thank you in advance!

  7. I love this kind of ambiance, the "dirty/dark" futuristic feeling!
  8. Hi there! nice work!! hope to see more of your work!
  9. yeah that was the problem! i fixed it! Thank you all for your help! it was the gamma!
  10. i guess i have not tried that! thanks!! will give it a try now!
  11. hey guys!! thanks for all you input and for trying to fix this problem! i tried all of what you said and it is a GI problem and it is not fixable because of the reflection of the mirror that there is right opposite them (i think) any way i am still trying to fix it!
  12. hey! thanks for your advice! i tried both of what you said! did change the wall, added a shell modifier, tried it with and with out that, no change! went into the materials but all of the the reflection settings is down to none and i also tried rendering them with a reflection glossy samples down to 0 but also nothing changed! thanks for your time guys! hope this gets solved!
  13. Hey! I rendered the image and something odd is happening! the occluded area instead of it being darker then the rest has more light! Any ideas whats causing this? I honestly tried everything! AO settings are normal did not do anything different than other scenes which are fine! Thanks!
  14. Why is that? Does it affect the materials? How can i change it back? I installed a plugin and the moment i opened Max and opened the material editor i saw the change and i just want to ask the above questions just to make sure nothings wrong and if there is something wrong how to fix it! Thank you!
