Hello,
I have always rendered my interior scenes night and daylight with no background outside the windows! The daylight scenes made the glass of the window white and the night scenes made the glass of the window black!
Recently i tried adding a back ground outside the windows for example a view of a lake for a daylight scene but with no success in getting a nice render! Same for the night scenes, but with the night scenes i just got again the black window reflecting whats inside!
The usual way i add background to a scene exterior and interior is, i make a tube around the scene and a sphere! It is the most common way i presume! I change the object properties of the sphere to not be visible to camera and the tube properties not to be visible in reflections!
I always light my interior night scenes with photo metric lights and my interior daylight scenes with a daylight system! For materials to the glass of the window i use the ArchDesign SolidGlass (which i also tried using different glass materials to see if anything change but did not work).
I tried many things many ways but none give me a nice render of a night view of a city outside the window, or a nice daylight view!
If someone who has more experience give me some advice with this matter at hand!
Thank you in advance!
