I would try RECOVER just like Laszlo mentioned, if that does not work rename the bak file of the same drawing to dwg, and see if you have save most of your work. Good luck..

I had the same issue before and I was using Raytrace under maps for reflection, once I deleted the Raytrace for reflection they spots disappear.
