1. thats a very good point...I have taken the picture of this thread
2. But if you have any idea on how these results were achieved, was it HDRI, Sun and sky system, artificial lighting!? that would be much appreciate, thanks
3. Thank you for your response Tony...this isn't actually my work, it is the work of another 3d artist. This is what I aspire to for my project, so this is a case study/precedent for what I want to achieve. Thank you for your response though.
4. Hey guys and girls, my name is Ck and I have been using Vray for a little while now but still having problems grasping lighting. I am hoping to launch a product soon but having trouble with the lighting within the scene, I have attached an image of another render from a very talented 3d artist. If anyone has any suggestions of how this result was achieved I would be very keen on hearing your advice for my own scene! As I hope to achieve a similar resolution within my work, thank you for your time and hopefully I hear from you soon.
5. Hey guys thanks for all of your help with my lighting issue, I have now come across an issue with texture mapping!! I have applied my material (wooden floor) but it refuses to render...when I view the model in rendered mode it displays a wooden floor but when I press render it displays a white matte texture??! I am using vray for rhino, if anyone has any idea what the problem could be..please dont hesitate in sending a message, thanks a lot (I have attached a render of the scene as well as view in perspective mode of the texture applied to the floor)
6. Hey all thank you for all of your suggestions, they have been a massive help...I was using a pre-made glass material and I also had 'GI lights only' ticked. Once I had ticked it off and created a glass material from scratch and that sorted out the issue right away, thank you again for your suggestions Ck
7. I have also attached image of the properties within the refraction rollout of the glass!! I'm not sure now if I've done it correctly? Thank you for response as well erickdt
8. Thank you so much for your quick response Corey, I edited the glass as you suggested....but something funny happens during after the render. During the actual render the sunlight is shown onto the floor but once the render is complete the sunlight vanishes. Also I am a vray newbie so I can't seem to locate the skylight button?! But thank you again for your quick response
9. Hello all I am having an issue with interior lighting/effects, I have attached a jpeg of a very quick render I had done with sunlight coming through the window and I have attached another jpeg of how I would like the sunlight to shine into my interior space. But after much trial and error I still can't manage to stumble upon my desired result. If anyone knows what the problem is please don't hesitating to message back. Thanks a million The settings are default vray a part from the physical camera being turned on with a 300 shutter speed, as well as the environment and GI being linked with the sun. I am using vray for rhino. (my render is named 'sunlight 1 physical camera')
