  1. Hi, I'm thinking about taking a class at 'Real Animation Works' in London. Has anyone here taken one of their classes? And if so, what did you think of their classes? I'd like to get opinions before deciding. Thanks!
  2. Thanks, John. That's exactly what I was thinking, but I was having trouble with choosing a correct color. AND I tried applying a material both tileable fabric and solid color, but it loses the detail since there are a lot of folds. Do u have any suggestions??
  3. Thanks, Stanislav. Isn't exactly what I was working for, but I'll look at cgtextures. And yes, I used marvelous designer 2 to create the bed. Here's a link to a screenshot:
  4. Hi, I could use some suggestions. I have a bed model with sheets and blankets, but now I have to create materials for it. Does anyone know of any good resources for bed sheets and covers?? Or any good tutorials on this subject?? Any help would be appreciated.
  5. Really nice render! I would add a couple of small pegs under the book shelf on the wall to add to the realism.
  6. Check this site out: http://renderstuff.com/creating-virtual-360-panorama-cg-tutorial/ It'll go through how to render a 360 panorama with the vray physical camera. After you have the rendered image, a good software to use is Pano2VR, it's a free open source software.
  7. Try adjusting the f-number and shutter speed in your cray physical camera settings.
  8. If you don't put in the light (ie. Vray sun) then it'll render completely black You need the right view port selected and make sure it's not outside a wall.
  9. Here's a few tips: 1 it doesn't look like there are any reflection maps on the floors. 2 that rug looks a little too thick 3 the correct lighting will add to the realism 4 this is my personal oppinion , but the sofa looks a little too thin to be that round, or just add sharper edges o the sides. Sofas are usually flatter on the sides. 5 also for aesthetic purposes, the sofa probably shouldn,'t be the exact same color as the walls. 6 and it's kinda hard to tell what's going on at the top of the steps. You have a good start. After you get your raw render, you should look at different post production techniques.
  10. Hi, I replied on your other thread before I saw this one, so I'll post it here to: "For starters, make sure the vray lights at the windows have 'sky portal' checked; and, the lights by the windows are meant to guide light through, that's why sky portal is checked. So, you'll need to have a light like gray dome or gray sun outside the building. Also, from all the jagged edges, materials and look of your render, the fray settings need to be optimized for your scene. To know more about your gray render settings, you should post a screen shot of the render settings. please post the render setting for a further look."

  12. This is a very good start. If that is all the furniture u want in your scene (which is perfectly fine), then I would probably rotate the chair a little because it's being lost. It'll make it more appealing to see that little bit of detail. Also, the ceiling looks like it's at an odd angle. If it's meant to be at an angle like that, then u should look at your composition. Where the top cuts off makes it look a bit odd. And there a repetetive nature to your texture on the floor. Maybe that needs to be tweeked a little. Lastly, for the lighting, try adding a secondary light behind the chair. (But, not as strong as your primary light) I can't wait to see it finished!!
  13. I believe the modeling of the cloth (and pillow) plays a large part in making it look believable.
  14. Try using a Vray Light Material; and in the color slot, add a fall off with those two different color of reds (or whatever colors u need).
