Hi guys, this may be a silly question... is it possible anyhow to use 1 single system for distributed rendering in 2 host systems parallely...?? means if a assign a certain ip address in both the local host systems in distributed render tab. Will it work...?? will it divide into two systems... Is it possible anyway..??

Thanks fore the reply Marcelo.....i was using max 2013 nd vray 2.0(something) after having this similar problem... i installed 2014 and vray 3.0... 2014 is not having any such problems as of now... i guess 2013 has lot of bugs that why... 2014 is more stable version.

1. Been using max 2013...Facing this problem for the last two days... The toolbars come repetitive...selecting max default this thing goes away... but again when i am restarting max it comes back. 2.Material Editor: Similarly my material editor also looks different(some mental ray parameters i guess). I dont know how to bring back the normal one Attaching the two snapshots, help me out. What to do to solve these problems..??

Hi Micheal,thanks for the reply Just to make it clear, i will be importing the models into a tool were only the baked models will be there without any gi, environment, or lighting, only the model. 1.For the repeating textures i have increased the tiling of the maps to 20-30 and unwrapped the texture and baked them. But still its coming pixelated and blurred(although i have not tried 4k or 8k). 2. You are telling me not to bake them, i dont think it will be possible in this tool. 3. Is it possible to achieve realistic baked textures, how we see it in a render(exact ones)

Hi guys, Been working on product rendering project(like furnitures) in max and vray,where i will have to bake the textures. The baked textures are working fine, only problem is that the textures look to dull and pixellated. Now my question is: 1. Is it possible to bake a high quality texture in max and vray where the fabrics and the wood will look actual rather than pixelated and blurred. 2. Is it better to use a different software like blender or unity(or somthing else) to achieve high quality baked textures.

i am having a HDD model....i have a lot of 32 bit apps... but i usually render in max using vray... but these blue screens come out of nowhere... irrespective of using max... sometimes browsing web or opening any application... vlc player or anything... How to solve this problem..??? Do you have any idea...?? thanks fir the reply...

Thanks Dimitris....i must say you have tons of knowledge about arch viz and computer hardwares as well as softwares... i have been following yours posts mor often.. and i have learned a lot from you... the last which i recall is the one in which you explained the difference between vray rt and vray advance... the gpu based and cpu based renderings.. which i didn't know... hopefully you will help us in future also.. thanks again..

Hi david, i would say... i7 3770k is the best... but i would have gone for the asus p8z77 mobo... and vga- ati firepro v5800 coz its givin maximum digital resolution of 3840 X 2400 rather than your one which is havin a resolution of 2560 X 1600.... and its cost effective.... and go with a 700 or 750 watt psu huntkey or antec , 650 watt wont be sufficient.... if you are goin for 3770k then you will be needing a cooler( coolermaster v6gt) bcoz... this processor gets over heated while overlocking...wich i came to know thru the reviews.. 3770k(ivybridge) performs 10% better than the 2600k(sandybridge) which is also great..in that case you will be needing a cooler... and with the cabinet... go for antec df-35.... you will be getting 4 coolers already... this is also a mid size cabinet...by the way i came to know about all this from Juraj Talcik...he is also from Bratislavia... hope you know him... he would surely help you outthis.. he is also in cg architect... :-)
