  1. Great thanks for your help that works perfect
  2. Hi there, Im having trouble importing a fairly simple drawing into sketchup. Keeps saying its importing/merging blocks which is taking ages. I tried importing into max as one object and it imported straight away. Is there something i can do in CAD to make all the lines one object to import into sketchup as i need to produce the models really fast so need to use sketchup. cheers
  3. Kirt, Definitely getting there. Its worth looking into finding a HDRI to help with the lighting by attaching to a dome light... with some lights in the water and glossy reflections will help
  4. Kirt, The grass is looking really nice was that done use multi scatter? For early stages concept looking good just needs bit more to it. Once the image has a nice mood and colour to it with the aid of photoshop could have a very nice image.
  5. Thanks Chris, It is a bit time consuming would be nice if there was a script which could do all this
  6. Hi guys, I have a detailed model which has been assigned layers but is also a mixture of groups and components. Is there a way to import into 3ds Max so it only splits the model up by its layers and not a mixture of groups. If i try exploding the model down in Sketchup it crashes....
  7. Im liking the concept of your model and the idea of sticking the model into a game engine which would allow for better exploration of the models finer details. These style of beach house are definitely the way forward another avenue which is worth exploring is the use of shipping containers in architecture. I have seen some great images of Shipping containers opened up on a beach with modern wood decking interiors. The benefit of these is they are a much cheaper options and extremely durable against harsh weather conditions. You should look at creating an image which shows this
  8. Hi Diego, Great start you may want to look into attaching HDRI to a Dome light to help with gaining reflections and the overall composition of the image. Also the colours are very strong try changing your colour mapping from Linear to Exponential and researching Vray camera's.
