  1. Hi Guys, I ran into a problem. When I import an DWG file into max and I align it to 0,0,0 (right clicking on the spinners below the viewport). doing this because most of the plans I receive are drawn far away from origin. This is something I always did an never had problems with. but now something is different. When you save the file, (with the plan aligned in the center) and you want to re-open the file . max just freezes and i get an error from windows that the program stopped working. My guess there was something bad with the plan. But with even simple geometry (box or sphere) the same error occurs. and even with a vertex aligned to the center. the file does open perfect in Max 2013. then they down-save it and I can get it back open in 2011. saving again and reopen in 2011 . the error is back. I've tried to google for it. but no succes. Just before I re-install... Does someone also encountered this problem? And maybe found the cause of it? Please let me know. I run max 2011 64bit. Win 7 64. Thank you Kind regards T
  2. Hi Riley, i checked them and they are ok. but after another search and lots of reading , i found out that this type of coolers are not 100% compatible.(found through wwweb) at least for this type... to be honest, i dont have this much knowledge in computers. in these matters though. for now the machine works great . grtz T
  3. Hi all, thank you all for the replies . we managed to find the problem. the problem was the processor cooling fans (zalman). very weird actually. with the actually suggested coolers ( noctua) wouldnt work on the board. because there is no place enough to install them. ( at least the reseller told me) . so i had to use an other type. but the problem with the coolers is when you attach them to the system. that they can be locked to tight to the board, and then the processor gets pulled towards the cooler. and this was the cause. the coolers were locked to tight and deformed, pulling the processor a little bit out. we tested it with the cooler in place but not attached. and it started perfectly. then attached and the error was back. it was a bit trail and error. now it runs perfect, and the temperature stays around 36° (even with rendering) maybe this will be a solution in the future for somebody. kind regards Tommy
  4. Hi people, this is actually my first on the forums, so hello the forums(you) helped me out dozen of time's. thank you all for this. but now i'm having a real strange issue with my new machine. so i need your help. I'll try to explain as good as possible what happens. the first time i started the machine, everything was fine. but after an hour the machine shuts down abrupt . an immediately starts up again. then i get an windows improper shut down warning, so i do a clean shut down. i thought about heat problems , but the temperature was 34 C° but this scenario happened about tree times. and the interval was shorter. after about 10 minutes. it shuts down and gives some bleep warnings. but now it wont start up at all. it just gives bleep warnings. 1-5-4-4 and 1-5-4-2 i did research on the code . and i found out it is a power problem. so we tried an other power supply, but nothing changed. ram checked : nothing there. card checked : also nothing. so we rebuild the computer (out of the case). start with one processor , and it starts, second processor. it starts ok. putting all back together , and the problem is back. does anyone recognizes this problem? or maybe have tips or hints? system specifications -Intel S2600COE -Silent pro Hybrid 1050 Watt -intel Xeon E5-2630 (2) -zalman CNPS10X extreme (2) -32 GB RAM (4*8) -Geforce GTX 680 -creative sound blaster recon 3D -intel 520 SSD 180 GB -WD 1TB 64mb maybe there is a device thats create's an conflict? i dont know. the people who build the machine cant find a solution. If anyone could give a hint ,tip , solution... thank you kind regards Tommy
