  1. I wanted to verify again what I found to resolve this issue. It does appear to be the version of V-ray based on everything I have heard and experianced so far. If anyone is having this issue I would suggest getting the 1.5 Version of V-ray, Chaosgroup can send you a software dongle so you don't have to wait until they get the hardware dongle to you. I upgraded last week and this resolved alot of my problems that I was having. Good Luck All
  2. When I render large images is when the render drops the maps. I am suprised no one else has had issues with this. I am reluctant to think that it is my machine. I am confident it is not, but could be wrong. I guess I will have to figure out the whole 1.5 version which requirs a dongle which I yet to recieve. Currently Running Dell Xeon 3.60 GHZ 3.59 GHZ 3.00 GB of Ram Chad thank you again for your help turns out it was the version of Vray that was causing the problem. Currently rendering massive images with no problems unlike before. Thanks Again!
  3. Is the 1.5 ready? They were having issues with it a couple of weeks ago.
  4. Hey guys, I just recently got vray and have been playing with it alot. I am very excited and see alot of potentially great things being produced using it. But I have run into one massive problem that I don't seem to be able to resolve. The sence I am tring to render isn't very large and I am using RPC's in it. If I render a test at 640x480 it comes out fine, but when I increase the size to say 1600x1200 it starts out fine then in the middle of the final phase starts rendering out gray instead of the material color. I am going to attach an example of this to try and help explain. Please let me know if anyone has seen this before and might have some idea how to resolve it. Again this is not a huge scene and am wanting to produce some larger enviorments. Any Help would be appretiated. David
  5. Thanks for the responses, and whats up Brain hows the ATL. I am wanting badly to get Vray and certainly upgrade this aging version of Viz. I am going to use the advice on the Ceiling. I really need to start posting more stuff on here. I am always shooked at the vast knowledge in this forum. Thanks Again
  6. Just thought I would throw some stuff up and see what you all think I should work on to improve. Images are produces using Viz 4, IES Lights used for Radiosity renderings of prespectives. Merchandise for images are done in Photoshop and some cleanup. Please let me know what you think and feel free to rip it apart if you see a need. I'm really wanting to upgrade and start using Vray to help out with the lighting. Thanks
  7. Aaron-cds, Thanks for being so honest and not beating around the bush. It will really help me with tring to sell getting the upgrade. I thought it was pointless to even mess with this opsolete stuff. Thanks Again
  8. CGarchitects, I am having problem with the Demo Version of Vray for Viz 4. I have downloaded the files from the VM Store and after placing the plugin files in there appropriate locations it doesn't want to work. When I open Viz upon opening an error message pops up saying that the vray plugin can't be found. I have follow all of the instalation instructions and the only thing i can find is I might be missing a file that was not included. If anyone knows how I might resolve this I would appretiate it greatly. I am wanting to play with Vray to determine if I the comany should purchase the renderer. Thanks
  9. Grass looks to clean, Try to find some grass that doesn't look quite so perfect. Also try adding some plants around the base of the house.
  10. I am a 3d artist that started working in 3d max some years back. Currently I am tring to decide which format is more efficent and generally better. Working from Autocadd 3d then importing to viz seems backwards to me. I feel that working from Viz from start to finish would be overall better. Can anyone please clarify if there are issues that I have missed or is using the two media the best way of working in 3d. Thank You All David Ward
  11. I am tring to find a Plugin for Viz to to allow me to export a ASCII File. If anyone knows of a plugin that might work please let me know. Thanks
  12. I wanted to thank you guys for the help. Wrapping up project now thanks again for the responces.
  13. Plans Would be very helpful.
  14. I am doing a fire station in 3d and am looking for refrences for fire trucks or emergency vehiles. Similar to what you might find on suurland.com. If anyone has run across any refrences I would be very greatful if you don't mind passing it on to me. Thanks David
