  1. Hey, was led to this thread from http://forums.cgarchitect.com/72460-cod-mapping.html I bookmarked this site over a year ago: http://www.playuptools.com/ but never got around to installing a game engine. It does seems to shorten the workflow from sketchup/max model to game engine. Although it doesn't automatically teach the artist about the underlying things that make a game level work, I guess, like vizportals or what have you. That polycount wiki looks useful Scott.
  2. Hi all, I already posted here in the Site Feedback and suggestions, but I don't think it was seen by anyone Just wondering if the site will get Tapatalk support again? It made it very easy to track the forum posts. As I understand it, it just requires updating a plugin?...although it doesn't seem to be that popular, so I'll understand if it's not that high-priority Still a fantastic site though
  3. Hi, just rejoined the site after a few years' absence and saw that there was Tapatalk support for the forums. But tried logging in again recently but to no avail. Has support been dropped? (Great new look otherwise!) Thanks in advance B
  4. Hey all, finally getting round to a second post (!) Stuart, that's a good idea. In the meatime, I've come across a tutorial on Lynda.com (Designing a House in Revit, by Brian Myers), so I might have a look at that as well. I remember Archicad used to come with a small, but very detailed model of a gatehouse, way back. The ideal thing would be something not so big or clunky in terms of file size, but demonstrating all of the software's tools at once.
  5. Hi all. First post here. The OP raises an interesting question. I've always wondered if there is some sort of standardised virtual model somewhere of an idealised house - something that could be used as a benchmark or testing ground for all of the different CAD, BIM and simulation programs. Not necessarily a large model (in terms of area or volume) but has everything modeled from spaces/zones down to the roof tiles. If not, I'd almost be interested in contributing to one (although I'm a beginner myself). Anyone know of anything resembling this idea? Thanks
